Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for CSE(AIML) and the reason for opting for this course is that I am interested in Artificial intelligence and machine learning subjects. The curriculum and faculty members are good but there are some faculty members who aren't up to the mark to teach the subjects mentioned in the curriculum.

Placement Experience

From the 3rd-year 2nd semester, we are eligible for placements, companies such as TCS, Accenture, ibm, HCl, etc visit our campus for campus recruitment. The highest package of our college was 30 lakhs per year and the average package of our college was 8lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is reasonable for what level of education they are providing, and campus jobs are very decent basing on the tier of the college. Scholarship opportunities are very good .college does provide financial assistance when the student wants to go to abroad for higher education.

Campus Life

Every year in February we will have tech fest for 2 days which we enjoy a lot, a lot of competitions will be conducted in that fest, and in May every year we will be having our annual day, life at the campus is very good with good infrastructure and security and decent canteen with good management. We have a good library with a vast collection of books and journals. Sports and extracurricular activities are very nice.

Admission

The admission process was smooth and there was no confusion or trouble in the admission process. The only improvement I can suggest is that before applying inter colleges should teach the students how to select colleges based on their ranks.

The curriculum is not the best i would say There are many flaws in it Although the say the syllabus keeps changing but the changes are not that much The teaching method is also old school methods U can expect an exam every 1.5 months The difficulty is also high

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
