What Students Say

Likes

College infrastructure is awesome. Its really beautiful to roam around.
Classes are really big and lighted with projectors in each classroom.
Number of sports that we can play is really good.

Dislikes

The college is at a large distance which takes approximately 1 hour to reach.
Sometimes due to travel related issues most of the time is wasted.
Prices at canteens are a bit high and they keeps on increasing them.

Course Curriculum Overview

CSE is a good course also the faculty is good with great qualifications. The class has about 70 students with 1 faculty. Hands-on sessions are done in everyday classes. There are FAs and STs every month on a gap of 20-25 days. The level of exams is moderate to extreme. FAs of 20 marks, STs for 40, and the End term of 60 marks take place at the end of the semester.

Internships Opportunities

Most of the degree programs offer internship opportunities for students so that they can get real-world experience. Many companies like Google, Accenture, Wipro, Amazon, IBM, Tech Mahindra, etc give job offers.

Placement Experience

The companies that visited the campus are Infosys, Microsoft, Google, airtel, Wipro, IBM, Accenture, Godrej, Tata Motors, and SAP. Most of the degree programs offer internships for real-world experience to students. The packages start from 4 LPA and go up to 40 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for BE is about 6.5-7 lakhs with excludes hostel and transport fees. The transport fee is between 35,000-40,000 per year according to the stops and the hostel is around 60,000 per year. Job placements start from the 6th semester with an average package of 4 LPA and go up to 40 LPA.

Campus Life

The college has an excellent infrastructure with greenery all around. Various sports are available including a basketball court, lawn tennis, baseball, football ground, pool, table tennis, and swimming pool. A gym and salon are also provided to the hostellers with extra charges. There are a number of clubs that you can join eg BITS n BITES and many more. The crowd is nice, people are from different states.

Admission

12th pass and droppers can apply with a minimum of 60% in physics, chemistry, and maths. Also, JEE-MAINS is necessary. You can get information about admission on Chitakara University's official website.

PEC Chandigarh Review

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Placement Experience:

from 5 semester you become eligible for internship and pre placements i think 56 percent of the students get placed i haven't thought much about what i need to do after the degree but definitely i would be considering gaining some experience in this degree to enhance my skills

Amazing

Placement Experience:

For 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements 60% of students are placed. I am placed in college duniya . In my college the highest package is 50 lakhs and average is 10 lakh. After degree i am planning to join corporate and get experinece in company.

PEC from a student's lens

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are overall decent. Some students usually the top 10 percenrt students get high packages north of 15 lakhs and some even get 35-70 lakhs. but this number is very small and most students get around 4-10 lpa. around 60 to 70 percent students get placed combining on and off campus placements.

Ground Reality

Course Curriculum Overview:

The whole curriculum focuses on the cramming power, not on the practical knowledge. Students have to do the tech stack on their own for the placements. Students must do the internship so that he/she will gain some practical knowledge and a chance to gain hands-on experience.

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Overall im loving this college

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

A GLANCE TO MY COLLEGE

i chose this college over other colleges becuase of its reputation , in recent years Chitkara has made its name whether we talk about placements or any other various field, it has a brand value as a private college its a quite good college,this is slightly a new college that is why boards were the criteria to get admission and other colleges i applied to took admission o the basis of JEE mains and i had not scored that good in it that is why did'nt able to clear the cutoff for my required branch, i applied t o Thapar Institute Of Technology, Patiala , Chandigarh University,Punjab, Amity University, Punjab Chandigarh College of Architecture.. i got confirmation from everywhere but just in Thapar i did not get Computer Science, The elegibility criteria in Chitkara is min aggregrate of 60% in jee mains and 70% in boards then there are several cutoffs on which the branches are given to students...Read More

Good enviroment but bad accomodation

I choose this college because it have a good placement ratio and packages. Here placements cell heads are helpful and teaches us about how to grab good placement. No, i didn't get a rejection from other colleges but i choose this because transportation is easy in this as compared to other colleges.
