Remarks

College gave me a bunch of good friends along with whom I trip, treck and party alot. The overall experience in the college is I have never shredded so much sweat until I got admitted in this institution and sometimes I feel that it's because of this college I learnt about the hardships of life and responsibilities as an individual.

Entrance Preview

I wrote KCET exam to land up in this college based on my ranking and the desire to take up this course. There was no interview process following the entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Currently, I am very pleased to know that I have taken up and yes it is paying me very well. Although less focus is being imparted on practical works, the subjects help me build my career as they are believed to be the most successful fields of study in the future. Yes research initiatives are being taken by the institution and several project expos are being conducted. National level paper publication competition is also conducted. Although there is a provision to choose an elective subject of my interest, ultimately the department decides a single subject for all the students in the class even though they don't want/wish to study that subject.

Internships Opportunities

The college never provides any internship and even if we like to get interned in the companies that we wish, the does not permit to do so until the exam gets over. And so I have not yet got interned and have no idea about the stipend.

Placement Experience

3

Placement scenario is not that good. Approximately 55% of students have got placed in various companies. To name a few ATTRA, BOSCH, UBER, AMAZON etc have visited the college for placement. The average package depends upon the branch and the company and it's around 3 lakhs per annum

College Events

3

College only encourages technical events in the campus. Cultural events are rarely organized. No teachers involves in these events which makes the event flop most of the time and after the flop show teachers blame the students for that flop show. That's how the events take place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is affordable. But there are few places where unnecessary fee is being imparted. for example they asking us to pay 500 rupees for internet usage even though the is no internet facility in the college. All we do is use Jio SIM. That's ironic.

Fees and Financial Aid

College doesn't ever provide loan or scholarship to students. But they do help in availing scholarships from the government which I have always availed.

Campus Life

4

There is no encouragement to extra curricular activities at all. College doesn't even have an auditorium which is a shame. And hence our inner talents doesn't see the outer world at all.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I have never been a resident of the hostel. Yes, I have seen the hostel rooms and they are being shared by atleast 3 students. There are a bunch of private PG's close to college and to my knowledge a lot of students have shifted from hostels to PG's because of less rental fee and other facilities like unlimited WI-FI and washing machine to name a few.

Alumni/Alumna

It is very poor. There is no such platform provided by the college. Students must individually contact the alumni if any help is needed from their side. Most of the time the student doesn't make such effort at all. And hence contribution from the alumni is almost null.

Exam Structure

Labs are very easy going. Not to worry at all. But the exams are tiresome. Only lengthy answer questions are being asked in exam and for a subject atleast 40 pages are needed to be written to complete a paper for 80 marks within 3 hours. That can't be a exam to take up with chill!

Faculty

4

faculties are highly qualified but are inexperienced. Their command over the subject is very poor. They are very interactive in class and also while in the campus and try to share their words of life and also talk a little about the subject.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.
