Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose a college with higher brand value and compromised on my branch. You have to be self-disciplined and work hard in your course and in the field, you really want to peruse. The boy is to a girl is same is any iit/nit i.e 4:1 {20 percent seats reserved for female}. In each sem, you have to give 2 minor exams 1 mid sem and 1 end sem for all courses.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

You can easily get an internship if you are in good branches like ECE, CSE, or EEE from the campus itself. But for other branches, you need to have a good skill developed until your 4th semester to get an internship from campus or you could try off campus if you have other sources.

Placement Experience

4.5

Being a second-year student I can't tell you the actual experience of it. But according to the data of Nit Warangal placements here are fantastic. Median packages for lower branches are also too good. All the big companies amazon, google, Microsoft, adobe, and de-shaw visit here for campus placements. The highest package for the 2022 branch was 88 lack per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are quite affordable your 4-year btech would hardly cost you 5 lacks including hostel and tuition fee. My coaching for Jee has cost me more monthly. You could get an income-based scholarship directly from the institution for tuition fees. There would be no tuition fee if your income is less than 1 lack and for 1-5 lack-income people 1/3 (20000 per sem) fees would be there.

Campus Life

3.5

At start, I was quite disappointed by the poor infrastructure of nit Warangal. IITs have better campuses and even top private colleges have better campuses. So in campus life, nit warangal would not be great. Classes are quite decent. Sports blocks are equipped with all the essentials. There are plenty of clubs in nit Warangal more than even 40 some of the is hyperactive and some get active only during the fest but something always keeps going on campus all the time.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In first year you will get the massive 1.8k blocks (asia's largest hostels) with double occupancy rooms. 2nd and 3rd year you will be accomodated in the old blocks of NIT earlier REC with triple/double occupancy rooms. The mess not up to the mark. It is run by private organisation and we have to pay for the mess every 15 day.

Admission

After clearing jee mains with the required rank you will be able to get admission here through josaa counselling. New information regarding fees and the admission portal WhatsApp group all are updated on the Nitw website regularly during the new session.

Other Applied Colleges

THOUTH IT WOULD BE BETTER IN NIT

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
