Remarks

Freedom is restricted. You can not even stand anywhere else without permission and it is fine for everything. The good thing is there is 0% raging. I have not heard of or seen any raging cases in 3 years of my VIT life. And the bad thing is there is a lot of academic pressure Which is good in a sense.

Entrance Preview

VIT entrance exam I gave and got 22532 ranks in it and I don't have any interviews here. And there are some of my friends who got admission without entrance on management quota by paying 4 times of fee. I have heard a lot of reviews regarding this college and couldn't get admission in IIT'S so I opted for this college. I am doing ECE here coz at my rank, I couldn't get CSE and the second next big thing was ECE for me and I got that branch in 4th category. Here categories are like increasing money category wise.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'm in ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. The placement for this branch is good in VIT. Due to the introduction of the new CAL system, VIT is growing faster in a practical approach. Here you have projects and Labs in all program core and program elective subjects. In CAL they have introduced additional learning parts in every subject like if you are doing some research work and writing papers on it in a particular subject they will directly add 10 marks for that subject for final grading.

Internships Opportunities

Ya Microsoft, data, Johnson control India and few companies are there for internships through Vit after taking tests and interviews. Else u can do anywhere but it is compulsory for everyone to have at least one internship experience of one month.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement for CSE IT and ECE is awesome here. Almost all in these branches are placed. The problem is with other branches. But in the end, all are placed in mass companies like TCS Infosys Wipro. Microsoft, Intel, national instrument, Tata, Amazon, Johnson control India Tata Motors Mercedes-Benz and many more key companies come here for core placements.

College Events

5

There are two fests gravitas and Rivera. The tech fest is called GraVITas and has a focus on tech and design events. It usually takes place in the fall semester sometime in September or October. The website for this year's festival can be found here - graVITas Team 15 | Design. Create. Patent The cultural fest focuses mostly on cultural and literary events and is called Riviera. It is usually organized in the winter semester around February. There are too many clubs and chapters too. While in VIT you should be part of at least one of the clubs or student chapters. It gives you something to do apart from your studies. And they are very active, especially during graVITas and Riviera. Also, VIT lets you participate in various inter-college competitions which is fun as long as you abide by their rules. You can learn experience and lead that particular chapter with your abilities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is good for students who got admission in the 1st category they have to pay 1,80,000 Plus hostel charge depending on the type of room and mess you are taking (like 2000 for four-bed non A/C and 60000 for north Indian nonveg food). And people in the 4th category pay 4 lakh per year fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ya since last year they have introduced 25000 refunds in your fees if you are a 9 pointer and don't have any back. They too have tie-ups with banks to provide study loans to the students.

Campus Life

4.5

There are clubs and chapters that provide opportunities to the students. It's in the curriculum that you have to be part of. You can be a board member of that club with your ability and lead it. There is a separate department called directors student welfare to monitor these things.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel rooms are good and food too. But the problem is with A/C rooms. They are less in numbers as compared to the number of students. The room allocation is done on the basis of your college rank. The good thing is that your friend with a good rank can take up room for you as well if he wants to live with you. There are 6 bed 4 bed 3 bed and 2-bed rooms and 1 bed of both types AC and non AC.

Alumni/Alumna

There are alumni meet every year and due to the culture of clubs and chapters you are always connected to them and learn a lot from seniors.

Exam Structure

Ya exams assignments and project reviews will make you tired. We have two continuous assessment tests in each subject three digital assignments or three Quizzes (or both but in total it is three). Then the final assessment test. In labs, u have lab CAT and then LAB FAT. Also online submission for Evey lab work u do.

Faculty

3.5

Few faculties are awesome in knowledge, experience, and kindness. Few are of a mediocre kind. Rest all threaten with the internal marks in their hands and don't have depth in their domains. But all are helping if you approach them.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
