I opt for Civil Engineering because my interest lies in this field. It's very important to opt for the course where your interest lies because it's a 4-year-long course, lots of subjects are there and exams too. At NIT Jamshedpur. Faculty: Student is approx. 1:10. All faculties are highly qualified most are from IITs and completed their PhD. There are a total of 8 semesters in the whole course i.e., 2 semesters per year and Each semester consists of mid-sem and end-sem exams. Exams are moderate to difficult. You can bring decent marks by studying for 1 week.

Many companies visit for offering Internship opportunities. Companies like Amazon, Atlassian, GE Healthcare, Exxon Mobil, Jusco, NHAI, Tata Steel, and many more come to offer Internship Opportunities. Most companies offer PPO after the successful completion of the internship.

The placement session starts in 4th year. Approx. 200+ Companies visit our college for On-Campus Recruitment. There are 100 per cent placements for CSE, ECE, and EE branches.m90 percent+ placement for Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical, and Production Branches. The highest package offered in CSE, ECE, and EE is 85Lakh and 25Lakh for other branches.

For OBC/Gen students whose family income is between 1lakh to 5lakh tuition fee is 1/3rd. You can avail of scholarships from the state or central government. NIT Jamshedpur campus is spread over 340 acres. The campus is environment-friendly. There is a Nescafe corner where people spend their time in the evening. There are cultural clubs as well as technical clubs. Cultural clubs include the Dramatic Club (Aahwan), Singing Club (Rooh), Dancing Club (BEAT BREAKERS), Photographic Club (Phocus), Literary Club (LDS), Quizing Club (Quinite). Technical teams include Phoenix, Rays, Revanta, and Daksha. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. From 2nd year boys are allotted a single room. There are 4 boys hostel. One more hostel is under construction. The academic building is fully equipped with technology and AC. Labs are equipped with almost every required instrument. There is also a central library. The annual Cultural Festival of NIT Jamshedpur is Culfest.

A student must pass out 12th, and Physics, Chemistry and Maths are mandatory subjects in 12th. The 12th percentage must lie in the top 20% of the respective board. NTA releases application form, Fees is approx. 600 (note: fee defer for different categories, refer to NTA Official website), Application date is released during the month of October or November.
