Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I chose this course because I had no other option. I also enjoy reading and writing and Law is ideal for that. The faculty-student ratio is lower than usual. The faculty is qualified on paper but their teaching methods are abysmal, to say the least, with a few notable exceptions. Term exams have not been timely in the recent past due to COVID and other circumstances.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I'm not aware of the internship opportunities provided by any specific companies. However, from what I have seen, a few companies do provide stipends and flexible hours to work. Students are also given the opportunity to work for prestigious institutions.

Placement Experience

2

Students are eligible for campus placements from the last semester. I'm not aware of the name of the companies and their cumulative number. The percentage of students getting placements is very low. I don't have any plans as such for now. I hope to continue studying more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is only around 80000, which is very low compared to most other universities. The cost to study is also relatively low. Opportunities for scholarships are almost nonexistent. There's little to no financial assistance. However, there's a Cell that works to provide placement opportunities.

Campus Life

3

Anugoonj is the annual fest and happens in March. Availability of books and journals is decent in the Central Library. There aren't any significant amenities in classrooms, with a few having ACs and charging ports in every class. There are sports teams representing the university in competitions but there's very little sports activity on a regular basis.

Admission

The admission process was smooth and simple. A week was given to allow students to submit requisite documents. The same was approved quickly on the same day. I gave CLAT, which is the overall entrance exam for Law in India. The cutoff for General students such as me was around Rank 3000.

At our college to get the PPO is the best way as college hardly has placements opportunities to be honest. Most law colleges though face this issue as placement for law college happens only at top NLUs and all.

Highest package was of 12 lakhs which was offered by Trilegap to one of our students and it was because she herself earned PPO by interning with them for four months. College placements aren't that good as not many lawyers or law firms come to our college for placements.

Not many as Arbitration lawyers and some law chambers which are a prominent name have approached our college to send some students for interview. So, I think PPO is the best way to find placements for students studying law.

Many litigation firms and corporate firms and even institutes which needs associate or young professors come to our college for placements. PPO is what most students get through intenrship and otherwise the next best option is find it ourself as college placements apart for a few are not so great.

Only 30-40 percent studnets get placed at a salary of some 30-40k as conversion ratio of actual placement is quite low here. We get enough help and assistance but actually only a few manages to. For those who does well in internships gets a direct PPO as our college is a cult name when it comes to legal studies.
