Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course (aiml) as I'm keenly interested in computer stuff. There will be a faculty appointment for every 40 students at least. The teachers are highly qualified. There will be two internals and one final exam for each semester. And the exams are of medium difficulty.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are the same for all kcet students which is around 110000 (for the general category). But it differs for management students. There will be scholarships that students can apply for based on their merit and financial status.

Campus Life

REVOTHSAVA is the yearly fest that is conducted around April. Books are available in the common library which is on 3 floors. There are very few amenities in the classroom. Sports events like RFPL, inter-department cricket, football, and other sports will be conducted regularly. There are social clubs like dance, music, etc. And departmental clubs run by the students.

Admission

I got in through kcet. As I am in a general category, the rank should be under 25k to be eligible to pursue the course. The application form will be given on the campus itself. There will be minimal application fees. There are benefits for categories under 3A and will be availed. There should be more people at the admission center for the processes.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.
