Likes

Good environment there is lush green campus during rainy season.
Seniors juniors bonding of students are too good. Seniors are helpful and no ragging happened.
Hostel life, new academic building are too modern with ac fitted in classroom.

Dislikes

There is no auditorium, lab has limited equipment.
Its campus is 350 acres but it is not well planned.
Lan facility does not work, management process is slow.

Professors are well qualified and all are Ph.D. holders. I choose this course due to its 97 percent placements. Students faculty ratio is 30:1.per year 4 times exams were conducted 2 mid sem and 2 end sem. It's not too tough to get a 7.5 cgpa.

The college has a very good internship program and we are informed about the internship program after completing the three years of our program. Pre-placement also happened. Cse students easily get internships. The atlassian company currently provides the highest package.

Nit Jamshedpur is famous for its placement. This year four branches get 100 percent placements with an of 10 lacks per annum. Cse average is 26 lpa which beat iits placement. Internship season starts at the end of 3rd year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Job opportunities at my college are forever best in Jharkhandvalso in the northern region of India some multinational companies come hcl, Infosys, etc. Those incomes less than 1lakh get full fee remission.

Campus Life

Mainly two fests are organized by the college. Urja sports fest during 1st week of November. And cult fest is a cultural fest organized in April. A lot of books are available in the library. A lot of clubs namely rooh, drift, quinite, phocus are there.

Hostel Facilities

In 1st year we have a double seater room. Further from 2nd year, we get single seater room. Food is average not so good. Lan facilities are available in the hostel. There is a common room where students can enjoy and there is a tv where they can watch a cricket match.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission in Nit Jamshedpur is totally on Jee mains rank basis. To get admission your rank should be below 50k. It may change according to your category. The admission process is totally done through jossa counseling. Here you get a reservation on the basis of obc, sc, st., pwd.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
