What Students Say

Likes

The Students Activity Centre which has availability of lots of sports equipments and courts to play
The New Shopping complex that is built is quite wonderful
The combination of diverse students that are welcomed here.

Dislikes

Hostels cannot have Air Conditioning or cooler.
The roads are nice but are mostly uphill travelling area.
The summer of Bhubaneswar in which the weather can change in a very sudden and abrupt way

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I was familiar with engineers in this field and felt like it was a good opportunity for me as well. The faculty-to-student ratio is decent and the qualification is great, most of them are professors, and faculties who did PhD. Exams schedule are given ahead of time and nicely conducted.

Internships Opportunities

There are lots of internships that were being offered and some of us have also gone for off-campus internships in their respective states over the vacation period. Like Coincent and other companies even in the first year.

Placement Experience

We are eligible for various internships from the very beginning of our first year and also the placement percentage is decent. I plan on getting decently placed and then joining a nice firm or getting a government job in this field after passing.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are several scholarship schemes going on and we are regularly informed about them through the mail there are also several kinds of relaxations in fees according to the income and caste status of the respective student. I got a merit cum means scholarship after I was admitted here which gave me complete tuition fee reimbursement for the first year.

Campus Life

There are fests in our college Ashvamedha (Sports Fest), Alma Fiesta(Socio-Culture Fest), Wissenaire (Tech Fest) and E-Summit(Yearly Entrepeneurial Conclave). It is quite easy to issue to books and journals that we want from the library and there's a huge stock to browse them from. Classrooms are equipped with ACs and projectors.

Admission

I took the JEE Advanced 2022 and then when the JOSAA Counselling was going on, this college was my priority based on the placements and reviews and campus size, and several other things. There are reservations in various things like admission and fee payments and other stuff.

Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

My college experience

I applied for geophysics and mining in ISM Dhanbad. But I filled my current college and branch above them. Also these branches are not very popular among students but as I didn't scored very well in my JEE advance examination, I had very few choices. To get into an IIT you first need to clear JEE mains cutoff and then clear JEE advance.
