Course Curriculum Overview
Teachers are all well qualified, and most of them have completed their degrees from IIT. They are very friendly except few. In 1st year course of all the branches are same. Attendance of 75% In each subject is compulsory.
Internships Opportunities
Here many multinational companies come for internships. Last year 500+ students get internships. You can apply for an internship from 2nd year. Many international companies also come to provide internships in Canada, USA, and Europe.
Placement Experience
From semester 7 students get eligible for campus placement. Here placement rate is 98.8% for the financial year 2023 with an average annual package of 15.98 lakhs. You can get an internship offer from 2nd year but most will get one from 3rd year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are 120000 for 1 year and mess & hostel fees are 32000 for 1 year. Many scholarships are available for financially backward students. You can also get loans from banks easily. The placement of NIT Jamshedpur is also very good.
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest is 'CULFEST' where many great celebrities come. Also, students from many NITS and IITS also come to attend the fest. The annual tech is 'OJASS' where many students from nits and iits participate.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is very good you will fell at home. The 1st year hostel is very old but still a very good time 1 St year hostel you will get 2 people in one room while from the second year, all will get a single bedroom till the fourth year.
Admission
You have to give jee mains exam to get admission to btech programmer at NIT Jamshedpur. You have to apply to JOSAA. There you have to upload all the necessary documents required. The next process is choice filling, fill all the choices carefully because once choice filling is done you can't change it. Once you are allowed a college, go to the college website for further process. If you want you can apply for CSAB counseling, the process is similar to that of JOSAA. Once you get a college in the 1st CSAB round, you must take the college for participating in the 2nd round.
