I have chosen the civil engineering department here. In this college placement of the core branch is very good. All the faculties are too friendly and helpful. All have PHD degrees from IIT, NIT all over the country. Here boys to girl ratio is about 4:1

Internships Opportunities

Here a very large amount of students from each and every branch get internships every year. Amazon, tatamotors etc are the company which gives a high amount of internship. This year about 550student got internships 750

Placement Experience

After 3year placement starts here and a lot of companies visit here some well-known companies like Flipkart Amazon, tata motors, etc visit every year. The average package is 15LPA. Here almost 99 per cent of students get placed. My plan is to take placement and then do business.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here fee is not too much as seems because Most of the students get free remission, different kinds of scholarships and bank loans easily. Meghavi, etc are different scholarships here. Sc/st students get 100 per cent fee remission

Campus Life

A very awesome campus life is here. You will get what you want in singing, dancing, and technical clubs with great achievement at international level representation. Different types of games, inter nit game A well-maintained classroom with centralised AC.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is average .you will get a double sharing room in the first year. From the second year, you will get a single room. Food quality is average. But verity will be there.

Hostel Fee: INR 32000 per year

Admission

First of all, you qualify jee mains exam Then participate in jossa counselling then fill choice as per your convenience and get the college according to the cut-off. There is Obc, ews, sc, st, PWD, home state, and reservation. You have to make its certification of your cota you belong to. Then you have to upload different documents like marks sheets of class 12,10 Migration, medical certificate etc you will be asked.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
