In this college you get single room from second.year.

Dislikes

College insfrastructure is very poor. It contain no park, only 2 to 3 playgrounds.
This college does have basic ammeneties shop even the small one, no shopping mall to buy some clothes etc.
Faculty are not good here they don't even take interest in what they teach. They only make you copy assignment your whole college life.

I chose cse because the average package is very good in nit Jamshedpur 27 LPA. The faculty ratio is 1:10 here. Many faculty are worst here. But you can find one or two faculty decent in some semesters. Faculty are qualified but I don't think they mean their degree. Term exams are timely and it was very easy to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

Compared to other nit fesses it little high but it won't affect much because almost every student takes a fee waiver. You will get different scholarships on the basis of your state and caste. In Bihar state, there is a National scholarship program (NSP).In Jharkhand there is E-Kalyan.

Campus Life

The annual fest is a cult fest this year 2023 it is conducted in March. Ojass is a technical fest and it didn't conduct this year it happens in August. You will find books in the library but you won't find excellent books and journals, you have to buy them. Class is well acquainted with electrical equipment and fully air-conditioned. The sports culture is not good if you are a sports freak don't consider this college or you will regret your whole life. Extracurricular are also not good here. There are many social groups but I know only a few like Sankalp. Nit Jamshedpur's official website and many clubs like phoenix, Revanta, pecan ista pages.

Admission

Firstly I took pcm in 11 and 12th and prepared for Jee and took Jee mains. I got a little bad rank at 10k and took nit Jamshedpur cse. You can find the application form on Jee main nta website. Reservation plays an important role in admission, while preparing forget about reservation because it can hamper your preparation, but during taking admission use as many reservations as you can because that helps. Because after getting into the college your rank doesn't matter it is only your hard work and sincerity that will decide your future after the college Admission process is well established and I don't think it needs any improvement me.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
