Likes

I liked the campus very much. It is very beautiful.
There is no ragging culture is present .
Seniors and Faculties are very helpful .

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high. It could a little less
There is no proper market present nearby.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is good. And the exams are done timely. Exams are also on medium level not that hard and not that easy. There happen quizzes for every subject once before mid-semester exams and once before end-semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are not provided by the college. You have to find it yourself . Even the projects also you have to do yourself along with the projects assigned by the respective faculty. But it is not hard to find internships as it seems.

Placement Experience

The campus placements are still in the growing stage and it's doing pretty good. The highest offer was 39 lpa this year and the average is 13 lpa. There have been 100 per cent placements so far.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is one lakh twenty-three thousand ( 1,23,000 ) per semester. Campus jobs and internships are provided. There is also the option of Financial assistance with some criteria present.

Campus Life

The campus of IIIT Bhubaneshwar is small but there are classrooms, conference rooms, and different kinds of labs are present. There are also football grounds, a kabaddi ground, a basketball court, a lawn tennis area and badminton nets present for outdoor games. Indoor games are also present

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Facilities are really good. In a room, 3 beds are present with 3 table chairs and 3 almirahs. For winter geysers are available in every floor. Gor drinking water both normal and cold option is available. From 2nd year onward you can also choose single rooms according to your cgpa.

Hostel Fee: INR 9000 per year

Admission

I can confidently say that my experience with the college admission process at IIIT Bhubaneshwar was nothing short of exceptional. Their commitment to clear communication, user-friendly application portal,personalized support and timely updates made the journey both gratifying and stress free.Cutt-Off Ranges: Through Josaa: CSE- 19k , IT- 16k, CE - 25k, ETC- 32k, EEE- 37k according to 2022 The State quota is also present in this college. So, if you are from Odissa state itself there are quotas like women, ex-servicemen, green card holder etc.. are also present.Those who want to register in state quota you have to fill a form which is released on their official website. You can just check out the official website of IIIT Bhubaneshwar, every information is present there.

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Best college in Bhubaneswar

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Tata power, Adani, OPTCL and others.The highest package for electrical engineering is 10 lacs. 60percent marks is required for getting placement.

My college is best

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

IIITB is best!

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

I gave JEE to get selected for IITs but that couldn't happen and therefore IIITs were my second option. IIIT Una and IIIT Bhubaneswar, I had confirmation from them and I had second thoughts just considering the location. Collage Review of IIIT

This was the best collage that I was getting based on my JEE rank . I was also getting lower NITs like NIT shrinage , goa etc . But my father denied and he thought that a better branch will give a better palacement at the end of the 4 years .I also got into BITs pilani Electrical Engineering , but I have to put down that idea because of the high fee at the BITs . so this was the last option . i applied only in the josaa councelling, unlike others who apply to many other private colleges. this was the institute i was alloted through the councelling. government college was on my preference then private ones, mostly due to fee structure and students. there is no interview taken while admission. 50% of seats are reserved for odisha students and other 50% is open to all. cutoff for open category is higher, then state category and other categories like female/sc-st, etc. cutoff order for branches are cse>it>ce>etc>eee...Read More
