Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well-suited for the engineering students. This is designed in such a way that there is a good relationship between the college and the smallcap industries. The faculty is to student ratio is quite high. The faculty is highly qualified and has high involvement in research.

Internships Opportunities

The companies and roles offered are manager posts. The companies are Atlassian, amazon, upstox, Flipkart, etc. There are many research projects going on in the college. There is a relation between college and industries.

Placement Experience

6th-semester students are eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are Facebook, google, amazon, Mac software, tekion, phone pay, etc. The highest package was 83.5 lakh. The average package was 15 lakh. I want to get the placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of NIT JSR are high. The students can avail of the scholarship easily. The fee remission is also there for the students of the college. The campus jobs are more in the college as it is present in the heart of metallurgy. Financial assistance is not provided by the college.

Campus Life

Life is chill around the campus. There are many social clubs on the campus. There are many technical clubs in the college. The infrastructure is well-developed in the college. There are fests like urja, culfest, ojass.

Hostel Facilities

The meal quality is quite good. Lan, almirah, and chair table are provided in the room. The registration process for the hostel through counseling. You have to stay only in the hostel. The menu includes both veg and non-veg.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

The admission process is very good. This is done through jossa counseling. The students who secure a good rank and qualify in the jee mins are eligible for admission. There is no restriction on the percentage in higher secondary.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
