Remarks
College is good. but the students in college are mostly from rich families. So they come with their habit of a rude nature. It makes the hostel environment bad. Overall it was nice to experience in college with friends.
Entrance Preview
VIT Masters entrance exam. I was ranked around 900 in the entrance. It is a good college that's why I applied to this one.
Course Curriculum Overview
The College curriculum is good. They have all the latest technology topics. like cloud computing, big data, and machine learning.
Internships Opportunities
There are lots of good companies that come here for an internship. I was placed in Intel Bangalore. Companies include Intel, NetApp, Teradata, Cisco, Infosys, Wipro. The stipend is around 20k per month.
Placement Experience
Almost 90% of the class student had an offer in their hand. Most of them are placed in serviced based companies, whose packages are around 3-4 lakhs per annum. Dream offers are very less. Companies like Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, igate, CSC, HCL, HCL Comnet, Oracle Financials, and Satyam, etc., have conducted combined interviews at VIT and recruited these students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are expensive in this college. It's around 1 lakh per year. For the two year course, you have to pay 2 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you are a GATE scorer then they will give a scholarship of 4k per month to the top 5 peoples.VIT University also has its own scholarship for good students.
Campus Life
The campus is good. they have lots of sports ground. There are lots of events that happen every year. Students can join professional bodies as student members and can develop their professional skills. The campus is a self-sufficient enclave with black-topped, well-lit roads. Its facilities include a Canteen, a Post Office, STD/ISD pay phones, a Courier Service, a Book Store for all kinds of Text Books and Stationery, Copier facilities, even a Digital Photo Studio. Standby power generators are provided in the institute, hostels, and the well-maintained gardens. A cable television facility is provided on each floor of each hostel.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are congested. rooms are shared randomly in the first year. Hostel fees are also expensive. for the year you have to pay almost 80K including food and hostel. Hostel food is also not that great. You get bored of it after eating it for 1 month.
Alumni/Alumna
The VIT Alumni Association has been envisaged to foster a closely-knit network bridging the gap between young budding VITians and the accomplished Alumni. Alumni have made us proud time and again by achieving laurels round the globe and wish to showcase the same to the entire VIT family.
Exam Structure
Exams were a pretty hectic one. you have a test after every two weeks and labs are also there. 75% minimum attendance is required for exams.
Faculty
The staff is also good. All staff is an almost a Ph.D. holder with very good domain knowledge.
