VIT Bhopal

I chose this course because I had an interest in the field of Computer Science and Programming since I was in school. The course curriculum has some flaws, such as the inclusion of unnecessary subjects, but most of it is apt and up to date with the current needs of the industry. The college has a 100% doctoral faculty, which means they all have acquired a Master's and a Ph.D. degree. The Teacher to Student ratio is around 1:70.

I am still a fresher, hence I don't know much about the internships offered by the college. According to my seniors, the college provides a lot of opportunities and keeps them updated about any new openings for internships in companies. The students make various projects, such as websites and applications.

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester. The highest package offered by a company was 50 LPA. According to our college faculties around 80% of the students were placed last year. My plans are to take up a job in the field of Software Development and learn and grow in that field.

The fees we have to pay depend on the rank we have obtained in the VITEEE examination. The students get admitted in different 'Categories' based on their ranks. The people with good ranks get admitted into Category 1 (which has the least amount of fees), then the students getting average ranks get into Category 2 ( which has 1.5 times the amount of fees as Cat 1), and so on. The college has a total of 5 categories.

Our campus is still very underdeveloped, so there are not a lot of things to do in college. Our college has an annual fest names Aditya, which is held every year in the month of January. The library is quite average in size, but it has all the books a student would require in his studies or as a pastime.

The rooms are quite well designed, with good soundproofing and ventilation. The rooms have metal beds which have charging ports directly beside them, metal/wooden tables, and wooden cupboards. The washrooms are also quite clean.

The admission was through an entrance exam named VITEEE. It was an MCQ-based exam consisting of 120 questions in the fields of Mathematics/Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English/Aptitude. The eligibility of our admission into the selected course depends upon the rank we obtain in the VITEEE examination.
