Remarks
College is good in terms of placement ,but majority of the companies were IT companies. Not much opportunities for core branch students to get a core company, where they can utilize their knowledge.
Entrance Preview
I wrote the KIITEE exam conducted by the university. It is one of the finest college in my state(at least as per the advertisements), so I joined it. There were no interview process for admission. It was basically my fathers decision that brought me to join me in the electrical branch.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course Curriculum was pretty good as it was somewhat similar to those followed in IITs. But much attention was not paid on practical application of the course. There were hardly any research initiatives taken. some of the electives were Environmental education, Engineering Economics etc.
Internships Opportunities
No the college do not provide any internship. We have to manage that on our own.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good. thats the main highlight of the college.Around 95 % of the students get placed. Major companies are Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizent etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees in the college were quite high. Not every common man of India can afford to educate his child in Kiit University. At the time of admission we had to pay Rs 62,000 for laptop, blazzer etc which is compulsory. Yearly Institutional fees were Rs 2,20,000. Then there were Hostel fees which was Rs 65,000. NOTE - This is the fees of 2013 batch, which might have increased by now.
Hostel Facilities
All the hostels were 3 seater rooms. They had no PGs. Food was sometimes average to horrible.
Faculty
Some faculty were good and interactive, but some pretty uncaring and just attended the class to complete the course. Most of them were qualified from IITs and NITs. Overall it was pretty average.
