College experience

College management is good overall, however there is huge scope of improvement on Electronics department.

GATE - AIR 900CET - Cleared Had one interview round at campus with technical question. Technical question were of moderate difficulty. Question about family background.

Course curriculum was a good mix of advanced and basic courses. VLSI Algorithms Embedded Systems Mixed signal design Advanced computer architecture. Advanced algorithm.

As market was not good, most of the companies came for internship only. Stipend offered was in range of 20-25k. Placement office ensured most of the students got internship in companies.

As the market was not good the companies coming for job were very limited. Nvidia, Qualcomm, Qualcore, IBM, Q-logic, Marvel semiconductors

College celebrate various technical and cultural events. Felicity, Robocop Festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas are celebrated in campus. Sports events like football, cricket, basket ball.

As IIITH is a autonomous institute Fee structure is on the higher side. For one semester Rs 60, 000/- on top of this need to pay the hostel and mess charges which are reasonable.

College is affiliated with various bank that offers educational load. State bank of Hyderabad is one of them. Availing facility is easy and requires parents annual income details and signature.

Campus life is very good providing good opportunity to grow as a individual. Hotel wardens are strict and disciplined. Overall management is caring, responsive and have a positive attitude.

Hotel facility is very good with single room accommodation. For food multiple mess options are provided. North Indian, south Indian.

As institute is relatively new it does not have a strong alumni network. However recently alumni meets are conducted. Efforts are made to increase the interaction among alumni and current students.

Exam consist of 2 midterms and one final exam. The overall score is calculated as average of all the 3 exams. Lab exams are conducted for relevant subjects.

Faculty was ok. Some of the lecturers were really good. For core subject faculty was not satisfactory. Support staff (TA's) were good and helpful. Most of the faculty is Phd or pursuing Phd
