There are many things which are good and many which are bad too. Infrastructure awesome but faculty poor,technology awesome but operators poor.
Entrance Preview
Hey, you have squeezed me by asking all these questions and reminded me of my past. But yes , I will definitely answer each question in detail and also I'll let you know about my experiences. In 2014, I passed out my 12th class from my school. After that , I gave exam of JEE (mains). I was not qualified for JEE(advance). Then, i gave UPSEE(UTTAR PRADESH STATE ENTRANCE EXAM) in which i have got rank around 24k. Then i decided to take drop of 1 year as it was not that much good rank to get into a good college. Then after that i could not get good rank in JEE(Mains) but I have hot 8381 rank in UPSEE exam. Then i have been alloted GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE, BANDA in 2015. There was not any further steps to do to get in the college like interviews and all. It was allotted on the rank basis. I had already decided to do B.Tech from Electrical Engg branch. Thats why, i had filled only EE branch while attending my counselling. And yes, for counselling ,you have to submit a counselling fee of Rs 15000/-(varies every year) .
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes,talking about the course. It was my own decision. As my college is affiliated to AKTU , it means the course is provided by the university to the colleges to follow on. As far as practical knowledge is concerned, my college lacks in that issue. Our college have best lab equipment but the lab assistant who have taken the charge to hold that are not capable of handling those equipment. There practical skills are poor. Our college have project lab in which the students can do their projects where it is related to college or not.That lab opens for 24 hours. That has been also named as the research lab of our college.
Internships Opportunities
NO internship. There is a room of training and placement in our college but that is empty.Also talking about internship, there is no any specific provision made for the internship for students.
Placement Experience
Honestly, as far as i know, College placement is ZERO. no need to write anything else....
College Events
Talking about the technical event , our first technical event was organized in May '2017. It was fantastic as of its level. The main big event that happens is the cultural event. Band comes to the college. Students performs different programmes and it's the most enthusiastic event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a government college. So. it's fees is less as compared to other engg colleges. The institute fee is around Rs 63450/-(includes hostel fee ) for each year and the mess fee is Rs 12500/-(twice a year). If we calculate .... then it will be 63450*4+12500*8=353800. Means Rs 353800 is the total fee to pursue a B.Tech in this college.
Fees and Financial Aid
College do not provide any scholarship but yes as the college being government, UP govt provides the scholarship to those whose income is less than 2 lacs.
Campus Life
Yes. I am a guitarist and singer. I have the got the platform in my college to show my talent. I have also been awarded with best singer title of the college.And there are many other events which happens the college to show off out inner talent.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, i stay in hostel. The hostel condition is not that much bad, but yes now i will talk as a third year student, the hostels are not good. They are very compact. Even if you are in final year,then you are going to be live with the other two roommates. NO change from first year to final year in case of number of roommates, it's still the same.There is a lack of hostels. Even a miracle has seen this year, Some newly admitted first year students are residing in faculty hostels, you may judge proximity level of the college.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes , every year alumni are called to give honor in the college fest with their parents.
Exam Structure
Telling you seriously, classes starts from 9:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.which includes lectures,tutorials and laboratories.This isn't stops here, in fact, when we were in first year ,we were supposed to go to class even the evening shift i.e. till 9:00 p.m. Attendance has its own deals. You should have an attendance record of 75% otherwise, you will be debarred from the mid-term sessions.
Faculty
If i tell you the reality of teachers, we have not provided that class of teachers. They all are non-sense, cheap mentalities, etc . We are having guest faculty it means our college haven't got any permanent faculty as well. They lack there sense of humor. There is no proximity between teachers and students.
