Likes
- Teachers behaviour towards students as they were never uninterested in any ideas and were always supportive and gave us ideas whenever we were blank
- Have helped us to know more about the field by giving us free webinars/seminars of students who are abroad or people who are studying abroad letting us speak to them and clear our doubts
- They never left hopes from those students who were weak in studies and gave their best to put them back on track
Dislikes
- Was not strict enough to keep the students behaviour in check getting too much comfortable with teachers which i personally disliked as there should have been a barrier
- Used to follow the old portion of Mumbai University due to which new technology were not taught and had lots of things to study of old Pattern because of which time wasn't enough for new things
- Too much theory was taught which we and the teachers knew was useless for the actual corporate world
Course Curriculum Overview
Looking at the current corporate world I thought it would be wise to work in this field. There were 6 teachers and we had 45 students in our batch while juniors have 60 students in their batch. The faculty is quite qualified our placement coordinator has a Ph.D. and good knowledge and also has the ability to share that knowledge in a way students understand it the HOD has always been supportive of new ideas of teaching etc. All the other teachers were quite Frank and showed great interest in teaching us. The term exams were every 5 or 5 and 1/2 months and the difficulty was a little below medium to pass but difficult to score high marks.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible after the first semester to get their internship but for placement in 5th semester shall be cleared. The companies visited were Deloitte, Wipro, Lti, Tcs, and Sutherland. The percentage of students getting placed is around 70-80. My plans after getting the degree are to get experience in the corporate world and know if I shall go for higher studies or shall I continue.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure considering the course was sfc yet was not very high and affordable and worth the facilities that were offered scholarship were also provided for the students considering caste etc. I also got placed at my college in a company called Deloitte as a junior associate analyst with an okayish package for beginners.
Campus Life
Life on campus was awesome. The annual fest was better than we expected the teachers and students contributed very nicely the fest was conducted in December. The books were all time available in the library. There were many social groups run but students for different purposes and we were free to join them as per our choices.
Admission
My eligibility was based on 12th marks. Filled out the form online on the Mumbai University website and Vivekanand website as well. An improvement I would suggest is don't keep the process online only allow offline admission as well.
