- Placements are very good as companies like Deloitte come which is a big 4 company.
- Attitude of teachers is very good towards students, they encourage students and bring out their qualities whether it be technical or non technical abilities

- Not all departments are good like computer science, some may not have such a good placement record
- The college rules can be too strict sometimes. Not all times
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was always interested in coding since as a primary school student. The review about the faculty and placements for Computer Science was very good, that is why I joined this course at VES College. There are two classes in charge for a batch of 60 students with additional 3 subject teachers. The teachers are highly qualified and professional with two of the teachers having 20+ years of experience in this college. Dr. Madhavi Vaidya, who is one of the teachers has Ph.D. in computer science and is also an author of many Computer Science related books with an ambition to write more. All the teachers are very good with their subjects and teaching methods with their sole focus on the student's knowledge and personality. Term exams were conducted in the duration of approximately every 5 months excluding the summer vacation of 1-1.5 months. It is not difficult for someone to pass if they pay attention in lectures and practicals.
Internships Opportunities :
I got an internship in eddytools and got the role of blockchain developer, my peers also got internships in companies like Indian Maritime, info byte, etc. The stipend is generally very less or none as BSC is a degree that is mostly considered lower in comparison to BE or B. Tech, so students are generally picked up for gaining experience. The task is generally developing websites, and applications, learning new technology, and applying them to create new software. The least of the tasks can be cross-checking the correctness of the website
Placement Experience :
Placements for Computer Science and IT departments are very nice. Students become eligible for them in the third year of their semester. The placement officer of these two departments, Dr Madhavi Vaidya works very hard for the placement of the students and brings companies like Deloitte, TCS, LTI Mindtree, Wipro, JIO, and many others. The highest package was given by Deloitte which was a little less than 4 lakhs and the average package can be considered 2.75-3 lakhs. More than 50% of students get placed every year with the percentage going as high as 80% in some batches. I got placed in LTI Mindtree which is run by L&T. So my plan after my degree is to work in this company for a couple of years and then pursue my master's degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for Computer Science is 41000 per year which is very reasonable due to the costs of a separate computer lab which has air conditioners running and more than 45 computers. The fees during the first year were 31000 which was hiked later to 41000. This was mostly a one-time hike due to the college going autonomous.
Campus Life :
The annual tech fest is VESCON which was introduced recently and the annual fest is Talentia, which is being conducted for a long time. They are conducted from December to February and are a well enough time before exams for everyone to start preparing and submitting their journals. The library is very good as many books are available, and if any book is not, they bring it from other ves campuses which are nearby, like the engineering college campus. They also have an app in which students can avail of books. Classroom amenities are very good as they have a smart class, which means a projector, computer, mic, and a speaker. Sports and extracurricular activities are supported by the college as they conduct forum activities for students to showcase their talents and then later send the extraordinary ones to high-level competitions. Social groups are run for example music groups and sports groups. Overall social life in the college is very good and I haven't witnessed ragging.
Admission :
I took the admission process during the COVID outbreak, so everything was done online. One has to visit their website ves.ac.in for admission and then the admission process is redirected to a separate website in which one has to fill in their information and submit their admission form. If he/she is selected in any list out of 3/4 lists, they get a mail and a message after which they have to pay their fees on the same website they filled out their admission form. Admission dates are updated on the college website itself, reservations are theirs for sc/st and also a 51% reservation for Sindhi students. Although there were around 15% Sindhi students in the class.
