I hadnt applied much, i was hopeful for an engineering college. I also got chemistry honours in DU from a reputed all girls college. The fee structure was minimal but the only issue I faced was the unavailabilty of hostel facility which was a major issue for me at that time. Furthermore, based on JEE mains score, getting a btech CSE degree in a good state level engineering college from a renowned university along with hostel sounded far better. I did applied for some other colleges like Tulas institute dehradun, UPES dehradun and Graphic Era Dehradun, and also got confirmed admission but the major problem was that they were private colleges and the fees demand was way much more than my family's capacity to pay I chose College of Technology,GBPUAT because it was a government college, affordable fees, good reputation , very well spread successful alumni all across globe, old institution established in 1962 and its decent track record....Read More

This college is reputed in state, it even better than some NITs such as NIT srinagar. It offers good facilities of Library and CCF. Everything is available within university market , petrol pumps , banks. Students don't have to bother themselves to move out of university for anything....Read More
