ALL ABOUT SOMAIYA

In the future we are more progressing towards electric vehicles and batteries therefore the electrical field was best for me. The faculty are nice and well educated for students to teach and the ratio of students per class is 60. Professors and teachers are all graduated, some of them had done PHDs. The term exam is held every after 6 months and it is moderately hard to pass the term.

The college does not provide the internship for students. They have to do for themselves. I got my internship in the company name SK ENTERPRISE in the THANE district. I was there as a trainee in the company for grasping knowledge about how's the company is run and works.

From the last year of their course, they are eligible for company placement. These companies are - godrej, Simens, Land T, Wipro, Voltas, TCS, etc. The percentage or percentile of the students must be above 8 to get a chance for the interview.

There are 2 sections in each branch. 1aided and 2 unaided. The fee for aided students is Rs13000 and for unaided students, it is Rs. 60000. There are dozens of scholarships available for students and I got the eporic scholarship.

There are several fests held in Somaiya every year, but the biggest of them was the symphony held on 1 April 2023. You can get all your courses book free of cost in the library. Yes, also the Somaiya is famous for its campus and sports, no other sports are remaining to be held at Somaiya.

The admission process was nice and easy. Eligibility for the course is that you should be a minimum 10th pass. The application form, fees, and dates were Given on the college site. Yes, there could have been improvement in the offline mode of the admission process.
