Remarks

Good - The environent was very friendly and the staff skilled to help. Bad - The expertise in specific areas had scope of improvement like communication skills of the staff.

Entrance Preview

Main reason for opting this college was its proximity and the renowned image. This was very close to where I lived and also the teaching crowd that hailed in was very good. It offered the course that I was looking for.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

- Course curriculum is well structured - It is inline with the standards of Mumbai university - The teaching staff is skilled. - It is ensured that the curriculum is followed in the duration expected. - Practicals handled well. - Theory managed nicely. - Sync in both the aspects. - Percentile ratio accordingly bifurcated

Internships Opportunities

No, I've not experienced or heard about internship being offered to any students while I was there. If things have changed recently, it could be different now then. Campus interviews were though conducted though.

Placement Experience

2

The placement and job opportunities were average. During my batch, the companies visiting and offered packaged were at an average below best market standards. Companies like Godrej was a well known company that visited us. Rest had been very small scale companies really.

College Events

3.5

- Technical Fest was organized by Diploma college - Invitation to inter college participants - This was done on a large scale - Sports fest was also good. - Competition between various streams of college - Festival in general, which was at a very high scale but limited to students only

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was as per market standards. For Diploma - It was around 19,000/- p.a For Degree - It was around 35,000/- p.a The fees were distributed in semester pattern Flexibility of having the fees paid in installments was given.Scholarships and Free ships were refunded

Fees and Financial Aid

Free ship was offered as per the University and government mandates. This is basis of the caste, religion that a student belongs to. The facility was levied by minority based religion students as per university laws

Campus Life

2.5

The Gender ratio in Engineering colleges is male dominated and PVPPCOE was no exception. The ratio of male to female would have been 20:1 that time. The get-together or parties were arranged during college cultural activities and festivals which included the college management.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There was no hostel facility or mess food. There was an externally outsourced canteen. Living arrangement was only made for Marine Engineering students and that too the floors in college building were converted into rooms for accommodation.

Alumni/Alumna

Very honestly very few people have been in touch that too via the social forums. There wasn't an effort aide to re-unite either fro the college or people's side.

Exam Structure

Hectic - It followed the below chain : - Internal Practicals - Internal Viva. - Project and file submissions. - External Practicals. - External Viva. - Unit Test Written. - Mid-term Written. - First Semester .- Second Semester -Third Semester -Forth Semester - Fifth Semester

Admission

- Dedicated desk that sold out admission forms - Procurement of form - Submission of form by due date - Awaited merit list. - Shortlisted in the round. - Submitted all my original educational and other documents for admission procedure. - Payment of fees.

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.
