Not so much but yes the course curriculum. College life is Good.
Great faculties ready to help you all the time.
Infrastructure, libraries and Campus life is good, Of course not like IIT/NIT

Dislikes

Placement assistance is not upto the mark.
Don't expect infrastructure of campus like IIT/NIT
College location may disappoint you. Choose wisely.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good and faculty members are also enough qualified. Most of the faculties are M.Tech passed and some have done Ph.D. From the 2018 session the semester exams are on time as it now comes under JUT.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure depends on the seat which you received in your counselling. The college has two types of seats govt and private. For govt seat, you will have to pay almost 15k per year and for a private seat, it will cost you around 35k per semester.

Campus Life

The campus is providing two annual fests one is tech-fest and the other one is a cultural fest named Fanatic. The social life and Infrastructure are good. One of the best initiatives is a foundation named Bhawisya founded by a senior of the first batch 2014, in which students from 1st and 2nd year goes out of campus for teaching the poor children of the nearby campus.

Admission

The admission process is on the basis of an entrance test. Till 2017 it was JCECE, but from 2018 it is on the basis of JEE Mains marks. You can also avail the reservation benefits if you come under that category.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for this college as i hadn't a good rank in Jee mains and it is kind of affordable for me .The admission process is very simple . You have to have a jee mains scorecard and you have to fill jceceb counselling and as per your jceceb rank you will get admission into this college. Dumka engineering college a hidden gem ????

This college accepts jee main exam also. Through jcecb counseling. I cleared that counseling but I didn't have residential and caste certificate.so i have to come again through management quota.
