Remarks

Management regarding food is bad. If you are a dropper then don't come in this college, you would be depressed. For regular students.. If you are coming then b sure to have days but this is not your home. Just b here for 4 years and then move on.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course is good. Very hectic time table. Good teachers. 7 hours of study each day but the problem is without a single minute break.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement for mechanical is good Average package is 6lpa. If you are looking for big companies like Google, Unilever, Nestle, Volkswagen. Then you are at the Wrong place. You'll get mass recruiters like Wipro, Infosys , it some good companies like Bosch

College Events

3.5

No ragging events. Fresher's day. No holidays other than durga puja. Yes not even in chat or Diwali. A year has only 18 days of registered holidays. It becomes awful wen they make you work even on Saturday. Some clubs are there, you can call them groups which organised quiz, dance, music etc. No sports privileged.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible.. Keeping in account of a private college. Hostel A/C room- 1lpa Non AC- 85lpa College fees - 1.3 lpa The mess Food is the worst. So if you want to eat in the food court, then per day charges would come around 130 for wholesome meal 3 times.

Fees and Financial Aid

Now for SC, ST and OBC, You would get a scholarship of 40,000 rs by just filling a form. This is from the government. (Amount varies from state to state) Now from college: There is TFW, If you're father is in any government job+he got a annual income less than 6 lacs(which could be made up n shown easily)+you are a resident of Orissa then your tuition fees could be reduced down to 55,000rs.

Campus Life

2.5

I'm in mechanical. Gender ratio is 119:1 Girls are found in CS department n sometimes you can spot them in ETC. No parties.. If caught partying in your room (even cutting just a cake to celebrate birthday) 500 RS fine. Workshops would b there teaching you to weld, etc. Some teaching you international standard English. They would change every year. No discrimination on any basis. No politics going within the campus. Sometimes there is language problem. Even the teachers are having poor pronunciation skills which make it difficult for a outside odisha student to understand.

Hostel Facilities

1

Mess is the WORST. All food with lots of water. Cooked eggs kept for days..just not healthy. You would even miss your home-made chapati. Every thing is given in numbered quantity.. Not a piece more. I am staying in the in campus apartment hostel. It is a newly made hostel. It has very good rooms with tiles flooring and good toilets. Maximum of 5 students are allotted to a toilet which is cleaned every 5 days. Washing machine is provided to students taking AC rooms. Common balcony. Security guards. Now there are more 3 in-campus hostels. They are absolute nightmares. A hardy student can only stay n Study there. 3-4 students in a single room while apartment has max of 2 students n also single bed rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are good. The second year is the most bossy. Best is to have contacts with 3rd Year. 4th year just doesn't care. No ragging.

Exam Structure

A year has 2 semester. 1 semester have 2 mini project. 2 internals. And 2-4 assignments in each subject.. Lab in every subject. Each lab 10 marks and the last important one of 30 marks. (English too have a lab) Internals of 30 marks each. Then all of it are reduced to fit within 100 marks. The semester is of 100 marks. Well that's all..rest of the marking procedure you come here n understand. KEEP in mind just to score good.

Admission

Jee-mains after which I went to the counselling . Here I was recommended this college with couple more and after that i got to go for research that which one of them was better. I looked for the benefits, general , academics of the college. Then the problems that could vary person to person. Then I chose this college. Got the admission form.. Filled it. Then the committee provided me with the branch I would get according to the rank and among the options that I filled in the form.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.
