Course Curriculum Overview

I have interested in construction, Faculties were great, knowledgeable & helpful. There were Ph.D. holders and Assistant professors who have a good 10-12 years of experience in the respective field. The course helped me to get knowledge of theory as well as practical.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 141446 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

It was approx 6 lakhs for 4 years of Civil engineering and for different courses it was different, there were various scholarship opportunities for different students and many of my classmates applied for EBC where they get some benefits in college fees.

Campus Life

There are different Clubs, and committees which help students in various aspects like NCC, NSS, ROTRACT, EWT, SORT, etc. I was in EWT where we got to teach children who cannot afford high-class schools or who cannot afford to go to school for studies we were affiliated with NGO "WE CAN WE WILL" and we used to teach those children for free.

Admission

I gave Entrance Exam MHT-CET and scored 105/200 and the 3rd cut-off list for Thakur College of Engineering & Technology for Civil Engineering stopped at 105 so I got admission on my marks fulfilling the college requirement after that, in the application process I had documents verification at FC Centre and Freezing for allotted college at ARC center.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. i got in this college through mht cet and i wanted to go into tcet as it was near to my house and one of the main reason is placement.
