Course Curriculum Overview

As IT is the future I choose this course. There are avg 90 students in a class and faculties are very qualified they teach and explain concepts by relating things to real life. The term exams occur at regular intervals and it's a mediocre exam any one can pass if you know the concepts.

Internships Opportunities

The company mostly hires a trainee and software developer and their stipend ranges between 3-5 LPA. We have been given a final year project in which our faculty guided us in a way no one can. The faculty are very supportive.

Placement Experience

After sem 4 students become eligible for college placement. There are companies like SAP LABS, Delloite, Mindtree, TCS, Wipro, etc, and the salary ranges between 2.5-5 LPA. Highest package is offered by delloite ie 5lpa. About 70% got placed every year. I got selected in Lti Mindtree and will be continuing with that.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is a bit too high for general students but for reservation classes, the college provides scholarships through e-kalyan. I got hired as an associate trainee in LTI Mindtree. I think they should do something about the fees.

Campus Life

Yes, there are regular yearly college fests conducted called Xavier's Utsav. Books are easily available in the college library. There is a yearly annual sports event. There are many social groups like NSS, ROTARACT CLUB, etc.

Admission

It's based on the cutoff. The application form is available on the college website. The college provides scholarships through e-kalyan. The admission process is fast and well-maintained everything works in a structured manner.

I see a lot of students who struggled in maths, that's why I chose this course. If I talk about real-world examples, from number systems to multiplication, fractions and trigonometry to find the height of pole. Areas of improvement are to relate mathematics with real-world examples, use methods like Vedic mathematics, and also creative, active participation rather than rote memorisation.

Like everyone knows in which carriculum they are interested ,similarly i know i have a keen interest in my subject i.e. physics . We can't see physics as a theoretical and mathematical aspect but in our daily Life we use to experienc it . Like if something is fell down there is a reason behind that is gravity .we use to experience physics in our daily life . Some teacher use to make us feel for that subject but someone make us bore sometime. It happens rarely but sometime it happens. So i suggest them to change some activity Like teach with more energyso tha we can't get bored. Sometime we get very lengthy paper in the exams so everyone have to prepare before the examination with high speed.

A Transformative Journey : My College Experience

Placement Experience:

The campus placement in our college is held after the completion of all 6 semesters and there is very limited number of companies that come over to offer placement but off campus placements starts from 6 semester onwards. The companies visited were Vedanta for graduate trainee offering 1.40 - 4.65 LPA Tata Power for graduate trainee offering 1.90 - 3.69 LPA Only 40% students got placements. Many students didn't take part as the packages very low & even the perks were not so good. I planned to do higher studies in M.Sc. As the subject was very intriguing I preferred pursuing more knowledge.

My Low Budget College life in Master at St. Xavier's College Ranchi

I choose St. Xavier's College college over any other college because of it's name (brand) plus it does regular classes and completes it's syllabus on time compared to other colleges who doesn't provide regular classes and never completes their syllabus never on time is a different matter but the whole syllabus never gets covered and most of it is left out. I am comparing it to the Ranchi College, ranchi which is under Ranchi University name as it never does regular classes and never completes it syllabus, it has no proper faculties for each subject, don't do any other extra curriculum activities hardly ever does any practical classes plus there is no internship opportunities....Read More

The best collage in ranchi

I had applied for the Doctor Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Ranchi. And i got selected there also but i found st xavier's college ranchi is better then that college as this is autonomous applied new education policy of fourth year graduation. I didn't get rejection as i had filled only this two college in ranchi for bachelor's degree.
