I was inclined towards Finance and enjoyed studying investment and banking concepts, hence opted for a banking and financial services specialization. Faculty at IMI are mostly PhD holders and we have enough faculties on campus. It is a case study-based pedagogy followed here and asked to give multiple presentations. We have a trimester system followed here in which we have mid-term and end-term exams. It is easy to pass if you have paid attention in the classes, everything comes from the study material provided by the faculty.

Internships are offered in all domains from finance, marketing, strategy, HR, etc. Roles are like product development, financial analyst, accountant, research, HRBP, HR Consultant, marketing head, social media head and a lot more than that. Students become eligible from term 5 for the campus placements and 100% of placements are observed in IMI, New Delhi. All big brands can be seen on the campus like Adani, Barclays, Arcesium, BCG Reliance JIO, BMW, TresVista, Piramal, Crisil, RPG Group, HDFC, ICICI, TATA Steel, TATA Capital, etc. for multiple roles. More than 150 brands visited the campus. The highest package was of 50 lakhs from IIFL Finance and the average revolves around 17 lakhs. I plan to get a good placement from the campus and in a few years get to a CEO position in a well-reputed company.

The fees are similar to all Business schools in this Tier. ROI is pretty decent so the cost to study isn't much high. The financial assistance is offered to meritorious students only once their term 1 ends. Summer Internship is mandatory and is provided by the college to all the first-year students where the stipend could be ranging from 40K to 1.5Lakhs.

The annual Fest of IMI is Kritva conducted in February. There's a huge collection of books and journals of various domains of management all relevant to business and the world. There is one interactive touchscreen and 2 LED screens where screen share takes place and 2 markerboards in every classroom. A lively atmosphere all around the campus and in sports basketball, badminton, football, volleyball, and cricket tournaments do take place frequently. wonderful and teeming with activity. helps students network and develop outstanding resumes. The whole college is student-driven and we have social media handles for all the committees, clubs, and societies. For example, we have Finance, Consulting, Economics, Marketing, Strategy, etc. clubs. In societies, we have Dance, Music, Drama, Social Welfare, etc.

The campus has every necessary piece of infrastructure. The mess food is decently good and currently SODEXO serves food at the campus. The living quarters are routinely cleaned. All basic requirements like 24*7 WIFI, campus cafe for night cravings, dance room, sports room, etc. are present. Meal quality has been amazing and the daily menu is updated on Instagram. The menu is for Vegetarians, Jains, and Non-Vegetarians. Registration of Hostels is done during admission. A first come first serve basis is observed. The hostel is pretty expensive to the options available around the campus. You can easily rent a PG or Apartment at a highly affordable and very low cost.

The Eligibility of the course is 60% in classes 10th,12th, and Undergraduate. The application form is on www.imi.edu and application fees are around 2500-2800 after taxes for all the campuses. There are no reservation criteria. The entrance exam which is accepted is CAT, XAT, and GMAT. There is a profile-based shortlisting criterion in IMI New Delhi and further Interview and extempore is conducted for the shortlisted candidates.

There is a Personal interview round right after the shortlisting which constitutes of interview and extempore. Extempore topics are mostly out of the resume, work experience, or abstract. There is no written test. I prepared on my own but these days there are multiple opportunities to prepare yourself for these rounds.
