What Students Say?
Likes
- I like the fests conducted here during the academics
Dislikes
- I dislike the placements provided here because other colleges with less rating provided more placements
- Here we don't get internal marks as expected. Most of the time we get partial treatment
Course Curriculum Overview
It's an average college with faculty having less knowledge and experience. They teach only the basic things from textbook and play YouTube videos. The course curriculum is related to VTU which is the outdated syllabus
Placement Experience
Actually, placements are not good. We received only 2 placement opportunities from college. Please apply for off-campus placements and try to learn coding languages from year 1. So that you can get placed in the final year
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid only 30000 as college fees because of the SNQ quota and received a scholarship of 4000 from the government through a cheque. This scholarship in Karnataka is being provided by both government and private institutions. The primary aim of this Karnataka scholarship for engineering students is to uplift the education status of students who belong to backward castes.
Campus Life
Good sports ground and large equipment with nice infrastructure. But the classrooms are not updated for years. Bad infrastructure in a few departments. They have not updated some of the classrooms
Hostel Facilities
Here we have good quality rooms which are renovated recently. We have good water and power backup. They provide only vegetarian food since they respect their caste and they won't provide eggs. But the quality of the food is the best in the town. We won't be having food on Saturday nights.
Admission
I have applied for kcet in 2017 April and I have secured a good rank of around 20k and because of SNQ quota I have paid only 4090 instead of 55000. SNQ is a system wherein engineering/polytechnic colleges reserve 5% of their seats over the seat matrix for students from economically poorer sections of society who pay reduced tuition fees. This means if a college has 100 seats, 5 additional seats are made available as SNQ seats bringing the total to 105 seats.
