What Students Say
Likes
- Course was fine, some of the faculty was good
- Relative level of freedom afforded was decently high
- Placements were good and relatively well informed
Dislikes
- Fee was quite high for what the course offered
- Almost no sports since there wasn’t any room on campus
Course Curriculum Overview
Chose BCom Hons with CPA since the curriculum was integrated. Overall the support was fine although faculty quality declined in the second half of the course. Term exams were usually around the same period each year, and were pretty easy.
Internships Opportunities
Internships were very poor, not that many choices, and the job descriptions offered weren't exactly accurate. I didn't bother with them since the experience was not good. Interviews took ages to attend as well.
Placement Experience
Placements were decent, starting around the fifth semester. A bunch of fairly big names were present but the offers were usually lowballed or of a basic role. N/A for highest/average package - I think it was around 3L on average.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was high, though it didn't increase significantly over the time I was there. My course needed study material upfront which was pretty expensive. Over the 3 years, it cost a bit more than 6.5L, including the external study material which was required.
Campus Life
Fests were fine, though it wasn't anything special/memorable. The library was decently stocked at the time but I didn't use it much. Classrooms were very basic, kind of surprising as they all used blackboards and chalk at the time (Idk if that's different now though). Sports were pretty limited and there isn't anywhere on campus for them.
Admission
The process was easy, a simple personal interview and a test. Applied online, received a call soon after the test - then did the interview where they asked about the course and why I chose it. Would prefer an improved test though since it was very GK-focused.
Interview Experience
Very vague GD topics, stuff that would seem to have extremely obvious 1 sided arguments. Didn't require any preparation or prior knowledge. The interview was also very basic and pretty short - I was in and out of there pretty quickly. The written test was heavily GK based.
