Course Curriculum Overview
Comprehensive course and very competitive. The curriculum is as rigorous as expected, there will be times when you have nothing to do and there will be times when you have a fest to organise and there are exams in a few days.
Internships Opportunities
Be very thorough with your curriculum as industry experts outside will refer to the frameworks and methodologies and case studies discussed in class. Internships with ed techs are discouraged due to the unreliable nature of ed-tech startups and you may opt for an internship on your own.
Placement Experience
From term 4 onwards students are eligible for Final Placements. Term 1 onwards for summer internships. That being said, it is crucial to know your subjects well and have a good personality at the same time to be one of the early birds in placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike is nominal and as per the rules and regulations of the Indian Government. There are certain state wise scholarships and reservation-wise scholarships you may apply for your own benefit. However, you may avail loan, which is easy to pay off in case you are good are academics and procure a good placement opportunity.
Campus Life
There are about 10 committees and 5+ clubs that organise events. Our schedule is usually jam-packed with events every week. Other than that on Institute level there are several conferences organised throughout the year and which is all student led.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities were provided as expected. The new building is under construction and ready to move from July onwards. Mess is pretty standard, that being said, students who have not stayed in any hostel ever will face a lot of trouble adjusting here. The closest city is 3 km and hosts the biggest Buddhist event, which means a lot of tourists arrive making Bodh Gaya a happening place.
Admission
Applied through CAT, and qualified for the SAP round. Fee details are available online. The admission process is streamlined and efficient. The administration and admission committee helped clear our doubts. The faculty is also super supportive and guide you to take up the right electives.
Interview Experience
Since I have several years of experience in the industry, I braved the interviews head-on. I took some help from the CATKING GD-PI preparation crash course, which helped me form the right attitude and mind frame.
