Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course as it was a professional course & job ready degree Faculties are top-class. There is no shortage of faculties. Strength is 54 currently, the rest 8 left for NEET Preparation & other degrees. The teaching method is fine & well, Faculties are all with Phds or from the Institute of Medical Sciences (BHU). It's not difficult, just need to be focused & serious with good presentation & public speaking skills.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I have done an unpaid internship in content writing at one of the startups of AIC BHU. We can visit Sir Sunderlal Hospital of BHU anytime for visit & can talk with officials after taking NOC from our course convener.

Placement Experience

3.5

Actually from the 5th semester. We are the first batch, can only say after going through the process for the first time. It's not that you have to take a job in the course you are pursuing, placement cell has made a group & you can get many job offers & oppurtunities there & get selected. Min is 5 LPA. 80% placement occurs & rest goes for higher studies. I will be clearing CAT & take admitted to any of the B-Schools for an MBA in Hospital Management. But among the IIMs, only IIM Jammu offers MBA in hospital management. One can also pursue MBA in other streams.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no fee hike, it's 30k per semester & cost of living in Varanasi is really very cheap as compared to metropolitan cities. A middle-class family can afford it easily. Our course is being sent to the Central Office of our campus for availing the scholarship, so not much information I can give on that. Basically, you will get an Unpaid internship from AIC, BHU or you will be sent to a hospital visit for Sir Sunderlal Hospital of BHU

Campus Life

5

SPANDAN is the socio-cultural fest of our Faculty. Anyone can take part in it. Yes, a plethora of books are available in the Central Library of BHU. Amenities are alright. There are lots of oppurtunities & playgrounds & tournaments. Just one should have enthusiasm. There is a website named BHU Connect. Other than that there are lots of clubs for debate, UPSC aspirants, music etc. Also, someone from BHU can avail of the clubs present in IIT BHU like DFZ, Coding clubs, astronomy clubs etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

All the basic facilities like light, fan, cupboard & you will have a balcony too. Food is top-class, & on occasion, you will get special dishes. I cleared BHU-UET so while filling up the form, I had to select whether I want a hostel or not, but to be honest out of 320 students of various BVoc. For courses, only 6 females got a hostel, and only 2 are from my course. Rented a private hostel in Naria, Varanasi. It is just beside the Doctor's colony of BHU, where doctors of IMS(BHU) stay.

Admission

10+2 Science ( PCB ) with a minimum of 50% overall & above 40% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology is the eligibility criteria. Through CUET-UG & conducted by NTA I availed EWS Quota ( which is applicable only for General Category ) No, the admission process is best

The course curriculum looks very old. As my course is professional and need practical knowledge apart from theoretical knowledge we need practice materials. Which are not there. Placement cell is not that much good. You have to find internships or jobs on your own.
