Life at NIET

I wanted to pursue computer science engineering and on the basis of my score in uptu I got admission to this college in the first round. The reviews I got from the seniors of this college and also the online sources about the placement and culture were also impressive. There are also annual sports meet and various other hackathons in the organisation. It offers an all-round development to the student with an assured placement. The faculty here are mostly associate professors while some are professors having a PhD. Their method of teaching is through slides and presentations like any other engineering college. They are highly skilled and qualified in their area. Exams are held on a regular basis. There are two internal and one external exam in a semester.

The students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester itself. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the sixth semester. If you are from a computer background then be assured of 100% placement. Other courses available are MBA, BCA MTECH integrated etc. Mostly every student gets placed to maintain the reputation of the college. It has an average package of 500000 per year. After getting the degree I'll be working in the software field

There is a fixed fee structure which is affordable including a scholarship given by the UP government. The fee structure is informed to the students in advance and is also available on collegedunia website. During the start of the sixth-semester various companies started visiting the campus and I got selected by a company with a package of 5.5 lakhs per year. For girl students there are various programs like Google women engineer, Adobe scholarship etc organised and students can take benefit.

The college infrastructure is good and refreshing. There is a college canteen on the campus along with food items available outside the campus which is not too far. Transport facilities and private hostels outside the campus are available very easily. There is a boys and girls hostel on the campus itself. There are various clubs like Google coding club, kalakriti, khushia baton club, dance club along with the athletic club. The college gives special funds and focus to these clubs and has a separate department to manage these clubs. The college organises sports events like basketball, football, volleyball, cricket etc both at inter and intra-college levels. All these clubs and societies are managed by the students and faculties concerned. The classroom is a smart classroom with a projector. The loans are well equipped with the required objects like computers etc.

The hostel is well maintained with time-to-time checking. The hostel wadran is very friendly and understanding. The best part of the hostel is the food. The mess is clean and hygiene is properly maintained. The food is very tasty as compared to other hostels. Rooms are spacious and always cleaned by staff. The washrooms are also managed properly.

The course required us to get qualified for uptu entrance exam which has now been changed to all India jee marks basis. I applied through counselling and at that time NIET was part of aktu but now it has acquired the status of a university. It takes admission from all over India and the application form is available on the official website or collegedunia website. There is also a scholarship provided by the UP government for students having income less than 500000 and whose parents are private employees. The criteria for direct admission are not very difficult to match. If you get a seat on a merit basis based on jee rank then you can apply for the branch of your choice. The computer science branch has been divided into various other specialised branches like AI/ML, IOT etc. The admission process is very smooth.
