Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the CSE-Cloud B.Tech course because it is what I was interested in. There are around 70 students per class, so about 1:70 faculty: student ratio on average The faculty is decent, it is easy to ask doubts to the majority of the teachers. Not the best teachers out there but very satisfactory 80% of the time
Internships Opportunities
I am in 1st year so I don't have an idea of placements. From what I have heard from some seniors, it is pretty good. Large tech companies like Microsoft and Amazon and Google do come with a good stipend for internships.
Placement Experience
We get placements from the 4th year and internships from the 3rd year. Large tech companies like Microsoft do visit and make a decent amount of offers. The average package is 7 lpa and the highest has been 59 lpa Almost 60-70% of students get placements My plan after getting the degree is to get a high-paying job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are reasonable if you get ranked in the top 20,000 but if it is worse then the fees get very high. It is not recommended if your rank is greater than that. As a first-year student, I am not aware of the scholarship and placements very well but have heard good things from seniors, with an average of 7 lpa and a minimum of 4 lpa.
Campus Life
The annual and tech fests are conducted in February and are called AdVITya. There are quite a lot of copies of important books, mainly those recommended by the teachers. Other than that there are a decent amount of reference books. When it comes to fiction, it is a bit lacking. The classrooms are as you would expect. Nothing very great, but meets the standards. There are a lot of clubs and there are a lot of sports events that happen regularly Discord and club-specific groups are there run by students.
Admission
Eligibility is VITEEE Exam You can find the application form and the rest on the VIT website The admission process was pretty decent and straightforward. Just wish that they should use the marks we got in the results.
