Passed Graduate Aptitude Test in engineering.Qualified the exam.The decision of choosing roorkee college of engineering over other colleges, just because of Teaching methodology incorporated by this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was exactly the same as in other universities and colleges. all the advanced subjects related to current scenario was incorporated in the course curriculum.Other than lab have all the related manuals and amenities. so it was well-planned course content as well as well arranged labs available in the campus.

Other than academics the college conducts extracurricular activities also like guest lectures seminars workshops and internship is also the part of this curriculum

there is sure placement for the deserving candidates.Deserving means the students who willingly wants to get placed. Some students wanted to go for higher studies and some wanted to do preparation for govt jobs. so those students who actually wanted to work they definitely get job placement from the college.

Fee structure was same as in other colleges. 83k tution fee that includes uniform also.Other than this Hostel facility which includes fooding facility of four times eg: breakfast, lunch, evening tea with snacks and dinner and lodging facility. JUstifying the amount providing quality teaching as well as good fooding and lodging facility

For student those who cant afford the fee of college, college provides assistance to them to get loan facility form bank. In terms of scholarship college provide assistance for that also

Campus Life

Campus provide facility for boys as well as girls.There are two hostels for boys and one for girls. Boys hostels are separated according to there years, for example, the first year students are staying together and rest of the year students are staying together. but there is only one hostel for girls. Separate mess for all three hostels.

Exam Structure

After one month of the session, the college conducts a sessional examination of every year, which of duration one hour. After that evaluated sheets get a display to students so that they got to know their mistakes and find out a way to improve in particular subjects. So in every semester three sessional and one university exam.

Admission

Got admission just because of my gate score and procedure was as normal as in other colleges.Interaction with faculties , especially with head of the department of electronics, we discuss things related to practical approach of the curriculum and as well as placement related issues

IIRS Dehradun, A Synopsis

Remarks:

For the higher studies in Remote Sensing & GIS, IIRS (ISRO) is the best institute in India. The personal preference would be Masters over the Diploma course since the Masters programme includes a 14 month project towards the end of the course, in which the researcher gets to work under the guidance of experienced scientists from ISRO. A drawback of the course would be that the syllabus is demanding and the exams are tightly scheduled.

Glimpse of 125 year old Technical Institute of India

Remarks:

As my previous experience was in Bridge Engineering , so on the basis of that IIT ROORKEE is best among others ,as it offers a course named as Masters in Structural Engineering with diversification in Bridge Engineering , which makes to choose this Institute specifically over others.Admission took place though multiple doors :- First is through GATE Score without any GD or PI or both Second one is through Sponsored Category like of mine Third one is through Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) For more information on admission you may refer to IIT ROORKEE PG Admission latest Information Brochure.I think it is not a Bad aspect of institute , but Institute must do certain reforms in it's admission process as till now IITR took admission directly on the basis of GATE SCORE for M.Tech / MURP courses which , but I will suggest that in future IIT ROORKEE must took admission for the same programme through GATE Score as well as GD or PI or Both , result of which it increase the opportunities of many relatively lower GATE scores candidates to took dream of doing their Masters from reputed IIT ROORKEE For Dates Tentatively application started from the month of April every year Last date to submit the application - last of April Results announced through COAP portal ( you need to separately register yourself on COAP portal to participate in the counselling process of all IIT's) in multiple rounds along with some Additional round & spot round I don't search or see any forum or websites or blog while selecting this college because in my previous company I made many visits to IIT ROORKEE by which I came to know many more about it automatically .

There are tons of extracurricular activities present here. From sports to arts, everything is here. There's nothing only for boys or girls, every event is equally arranged for active participation of all students. And I feel negativity about the study hrs which is almost 10 hrs.

Admission:

Place to build yourself mentally

Remarks:
