Entrance Preview

I gave punjab CET and scored 8350 rank and got admmission in b.tech through a regular conselling process of the punjab technical university.

Internships Opportunities

No stipened offered no company came only institutes those provide training by taking money used to come there. You have to find training company your self no support is provided by the college.

Placement Experience

No placements no job opertunities only bpos will come onlySalary offered is 2000-15000. So no big placements and most companies which come are fraud.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans were avilable from all banks as education loans but the scholarships were open. No particular scholarship from the college.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel used to charge around 4000 a month but the fee was paid semester wise PG were providing better facilities but PG used to charge somewere around 5000-7000.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

There was no alumni network and no senior students network there used to be individual interactions but no groups or help networks were their nor by the students or the faculty.

A student's perspective for his college

Course Curriculum Overview:

From the begning i was always into tech and computers i liked to make my school persentation on my pc and that's the main reason for taking the stream CSE . The curriculum makes you ready for thr real world application by providing classes for eveything that a student is facing problem. If you ask me for the suggestion then some teachers should change their tecahing methods so that they will help the student in a better way . after 3rd year or maybe in 6th semester many companies visited and very few visited both happens maintain your cgpa make your cgpa above 8 might be difficult but you might get adv highest or average doesnt matter then see how much package you getmaintain cgpa fill out the placement form also they charge 9000 in third year for your placement and dcpd trainign maybe - 50 percent placed well placement is poor after degree - internships job

Did some research and found that AI/Ml is quite popular around the globe and saw alot of future opportunity in this field. The msts were of 40 marks each with 60 mins to complete the exam and finals were of 60 marks with 3 hrs time limit. However student were allowed to leave the hall once half time is over.

When I'm in NITJ see what I got.

Placement Experience:

I think from 5th or 6th semester students can able to eligible for placement. Don't know exact data about the company company coming but there is good placement rate. 1.3CR highest package this year branch chemical engineering. In my Branch ICE there is more than 95% placement rate.

Placement Experience:

In LPU placement process usually start from 6th semester onwards. Many good companies come to campus like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Amazon and few product based also. Some startups also visit. The no. of offers are quite large every year because batch size is big. Highest package I heard was around 40 LPA but that is very rare, only 1-2 students get. Average package is around 5–6 LPA for CSE branch. For other branches it is little bit low. Almost 80-85% students who are seriously preparing gets placement from college. College also provide placement training and soft skills classes which help in interviews.

Firstly, I applied for Chitkara University but the seats are full , So, then I take step to be a part of sri sukhmani institue of engineering college, Derabassi. I go to visit the college on 22th of July 2016. I have listen alot about this college so I decided to take admission. My classes started from 5th July 2016. First 2 semester its all good, timely classes, timely practicals, but after 1-year teachers were not focused on students, not taking classes properly. As I opt for CSE, only c and c++ programming language practice is done in college no other programming language focuses in college. And one major cons about this college, if you not submit the next semester fees before the presently semester exams then you should not be allowed to sit in the exam which I thought the worst. After 5th semester I take nonattending from the college and go to the institute to learn the higher programming language as in college they not taking classes of that....Read More
