Remarks

The university management is decent and barring a few rules like no drinking inside campus and no entry after 11:30 pm, the students are mostly satisfied with the management. The sports complex is awesome and has all the modern equipment and facilities such.

Entrance Preview

I have appeared for MAT entrance exam and gave personal interview round for opting this university. I get know about this university through one of my senior friend and decided to choose this university only.

Placement Experience

Placement season was interesting and was divided into 2 parts. First part was mainly for experienced people and other was for freshers or up to 2 years of experience. High profile companies like BCG, HUL, Nestle, Deutsche Bank, American Express, etc visited the campus. Companies here were the maximum in terms of numbers as well as recruitment. Even the banker's bank, RBI, visited and created a huge competition among the candidates. The average salary was around 11. 8 LPA and max. domestic salary went up to 32 LPA.

Campus Life

Campus life is great. The campus, 180-odd acres, is very beautiful. Just do a search on beautiful college campuses in India and you will find MATS University in almost every search result. The gender ratio in my batch was on the lower side, 10:1, but our juniors had a better ratio of around 4:1.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are offered for graduate and post-graduate students and have security personnel guarding the entrance and exit at all times. The rooms are clean and well-furnished and students can avail single or double occupancy facilities, as well as use the University library services till 9 pm as hostels are located on campus.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

SIMER: A first batch student's Journey and how it became a Launchpad for my career

Placement Experience:

We were appearing for the placement process from the 4th Semester, however, our batch was being prepared for the placement process from day 1. The first placement process that I appeared for was for Shriram Transport Finance in feb 2008. A few common recruiters who came for our batch were HDFC Bank, Shriram Transport Finance, CIPLA, Naukri.com, Indiabulls Vandana Ispat etc. One of the offers that I had from HDFC bank and the CTC offered b HDFC bank was 300000. Our complete batch was having a offer , some of us had 1 offer and some of us had many , I had offer from India Bulls, Shriram transport Finance and HDFC Bank I joined HDFC bank after getting my degree.

SIMER- a journey to remember

Placement Experience:

In first year for internship program college only provide us opportunities. I got selected in three different companies for summer internship program which was paid. Then for final placement we experienced best support from placement cell. There was 25 companies for 60 students. I got selected for 5 different companies. I joined the best one.

MATS form a student perspective

I took admission in BA psychology and didn't have to appear for any entrance exams, usually at graduation level apart from some famous ranked colleges like DU, Christ, etc you don't have to sit for any entrance test. I contacted my department via phone call, the number was available on the newspaper add and got all the needed information. The staff who answers the phone calls are very cooperative. After having all my queries cleared for example what's the course structure, fees, faculty information, authenticity, etc, I decided I will join the college. You will have to go to the university campus on your own, just ask at the reception area and you will have all your queries cleared....Read More
