My College Review

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mix bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

Our curriculum was divided into four-semester with different subjects to learn from. Our program was of 29 credits and spread over 2 years. We studied general MBA for the first two semesters under which we studied subjects like Business Economics, asset management, operations, etc.

Placements are pretty decent here, though the salary packages offered to the students, still have room for improvement. IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co. Ltd., Future General, Tech Mahindra, are some of the frequent recruiters from our campus. The highest salary package offered was somewhere around 4 LPA.

Events are an elemental part of our program. Faculty development programs, campus tours, guest lectures, industrial visits were some of the events we attended during our tenure at the college. Apart from these freshers party celebrations, the farewell party was some of the fun parties I ever experienced. Republic day, Gandhi Jayanti, Holi, Diwali, etc. are also celebrated with the utmost enthusiasm in our college.

My two-year course fee was around 2.17 Lacs which was to be paid on a semester-wise basis. This fee included our tuition fee, examination fee, caution fee, registration fee, etc. The fee was a bit expensive for me and I had to exhaust my all savings in order to pay the fee, despite availing a concession in the fee.

Admissions are simply on the basis of merit and no entrance test is required. I downloaded the application form from the official website and applied with all of my academic details. Students are then invited for the interview round. And after that, a final merit list is prepared on the basis of academic record, MAT exam scores, participation in sports and extracurricular activities.

The faculty was pretty supportive and motivating. They all had business expertise and appropriate qualifications for teaching business at a postgraduate level and corporate experience which clearly reflected in their teaching methodology. The guest faculty was also pretty talented and informative and gave us some of the valuable insights regarding the market.
