Course Curriculum Overview

Mostly interested in tech I chose this course to learn more about it. There is one teacher for 150 students. Faculties are well knowledged and highly qualified which you would expect from an IIT. 2 exams are conducted per semester and are moderately tough including GATE questions.

Internships Opportunities

Similar to the process of placement, internships are offered at the end of the second year and are needed to be completed by the end of the third year. The quality of companies recruiting is well above average while the stipend offered is decent.

Placement Experience

On-campus placements are provided to pretty much everyone in the college. With one of the highest percentages of students getting placed, yet the average CTC offered is not up to loving standards, a lot of students opt for higher studies and IAS preparation after college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are reasonable and fee waivers are provided to students in need. I got an on-campus internship in oracle with a monthly stipend of 1 lakh. Being from the SC category, I did not need to apply for any fee waiver or scholarship.

Campus Life

Srijan and Basant are annual fests and these are the biggest fests conducted in the East India region. The library is the second largest tech-based library in the whole Asian continent. Classrooms are well equipped with tech to assist in teaching.

Admission

You need to crack JEE mains and advanced and apply through jossa in which you submit a list of colleges you want to join. Then based on rank and reservation, you get allotted a college. Then you need to apply through the respective college website with the jossa joining letter you received. The communication for the process can be much better, right now it's just the student checking the website every day till they see new information.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

The Underrated NIAMT

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible after 6th semester for placement drive. Companies visited are Vedanta, JSW, Mahinda, L&T, Ashok Leyland etc and 95% of students are placed till and still few companies are yet to come. Heighest package offered was by Vedanta of 13.95LPA while lowest was from an ADC Company of 3LPA which makes the median package around 8LPA for metallurgy branch and 7LPA for Mechanical. Every year around 98% of students get placed ( Rest 2% either opt out or any seruius indisciplinary issue ) Planning to get a job first then along with preparation of GATE for PSU.

Placement Experience:

on every occasion they will charge the students, there is no good placement, every year they increase the exam fee, students are not regular its poor then government colleges just pay penalty and your attention will be full, its like correspondence course they are running huge but and regular power cuts unhealthy canteens, political motivated administration and management. There expenditure in infrastructure is huge which is best for love birds its like park or garden. Overall all not dedicated to education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculise fully designed on national education policy 2020. Focuses more on extracurricular activities than core subjects. Because reply is designed on the basis of UGC guidelines which is a good thing for different competitive exams that are design by UGC. I will say semesters are to short that all till now my all four semesters has been glitter in about 4 months each that should be of duration of 6 months.

Must Read before coming to IIT ISM Dhanbad

I had secured AIR 5860 in JEE Advanced, so i had applied for all CSE, ECE, ELECTRICAL, MNC and related branches in Top IITs. For my rank, I got IIT ISM Dhanbad in the last round. I had also got IIT Kharagpur Manufacturing Science, but I choosed to go for furture rounds as i thought doing a circuit branch in IITs is better. I could not make it to colleges that i wanted to as my rank was 5860 and belonging to the GENERAL category, the rank is too high to get into top branches of the top 7 IITS. The admission process is JEE Advanced, Elgibility is that u need to have good rank in JEE Advanced, the rank required varies from branch to branch but i can give you and idea, for our IIT ISM, CSE -> 2000 to 3500, MNC -> 3500 to 4500 , ECE -> 4500 to 6000 and so on....Read More
