Remarks

Overall experience of 4 years was Not Very good and Not Very bad.

Entrance Preview

Entrance Exam is the Common Entrance Test B.Tech (CET) of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. I always had an interest in doing Engineering in the field of Electronics & Communication.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course is Common in all the colleges affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Course Curriculum is good and covers all the aspects in the respective field of Engineering. Talking about the college, its not good as much, in respect of Placements, Sports Activities, Cultural Activities. There is lack of understanding between the teachers and the students. Its little hard to survive if you don't have tolerance power.

Internships Opportunities

Yes Internship is provided in second year. Foreign Internships are also provided and In-House Internships are also their. Every semester there is an in-house training given on a particular topic. But these training are not very much helpful because these training are only for a week or 2 and we can.'t learn a particular Engineering Topic thoroughly in a week and implement that in a form of project.

Placement Experience

1

Placements till 2014-15 was good but after that There is no Placement. Especially On-Campus Placement isn't there. Training & Placement Cell seems to be active all the time but the results are not good at all. We only have to attend Off-Campus or Pool Campus Drives which are held mostly outside delhi and it is not possible for everyone to attend these Placement Drives.

College Events

2

There are two events every year: Cultural Fest: Emblazon Techincal Fest. Both the events are not that big, because organising a big event you should have big funds buckets. And College Management doesnt help in gathering the funds. Students have to manage all the things on their own. The Management of the College lacks responsibilities regarding these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is Paid Yearly. The amount of the fee is Rs. 87000 per year. The fee is feasible in context of the Course but in context of College, its expensive. Facilities are not up to the mark. College also Provides Transportation Service to students and faculties. The Transportation Charges for students are near about Rs.25000, which again is expensive because of bad condition of the buses.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Management says that they provide funds to students for doing projects but i haven't avail any fund for my project.

Campus Life

3

Campus Life was really boring. All the time we had to sit in the classes. There is lack of Harmony between teachers and students. There were lot of restrictions on students. The college life was not exactly a college life what we though of. Labs are also not good. There is no good provision for doing practicals. Lab Equipments are also not properly available.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facility is not available in the college. PGs are available in the nearby area. Canteen is there. Food quality is average. Overall Availability of facilities which should be there is not good. The Management of the College lacks responsibilities regarding these facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

There isn't any Alumni Network till now. We were told that there will be an alumni committee formation but its still not there.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is Prepared by University itself. Every Semester there are 3 stages of exam : 1st Internals: Two Units from Syllabus come in the 1st Internal exam 2nd Internals: Other two units from the syllabus come in the 2nd Internal exam Final Practicals & Theory Exam: Held in the end of every Semester. Wholes syllabus is there in the Final Exam.

Admission

After Clearing the CET Exam, Counselling is held and according to the rank in CET Exam, Colleges are allotted to the candidates. Counselling is of two types: Online Counselling (Maximum 3 Rounds are there) Open House Counselling (One Day On Spot Counselling for those who didnt get the admission through online counselling. Seats are limited in Open House Counselling).

Faculty

3

On a Scale of 1 to 10, I will rate the faculty between 6 and 7. Some faculties are good and understanding, cooperative with students but some are arrogant, aggressive. Some will guide you to right path but some won't. Knowledge of the faculties is confined to there field of expertise only and some of them don't have the proper knowledge of their field also.

Day 0 companies are sprinklr and google which after companies will coming till December and after that frequency of companies will be reduced . Companies who pay more will shortlist you on the basis of CGPA and CV shortlisting after that you will have to give online assessment test for the particular company and there are 2-3 Rounds of interview . Yeah talking about offcampus opportunities you alumni will help you a lot for referrals and all.

Placement Experience:

The College provides placements and has a dedicated Placement Cell and each year people graduate with low to high pay packages. The students become eligible for placements from the 6th Semester. There are various companies that visit our campus and 5 such companies are: Accenture, ZS Associates, Infosys, ION Group, RTDS. The highest package on-campus is provided by ION Group of 17 lpa. The average package is 4 to 5 lpa. There are 80% to 90% students placed every year. I am also planning of getting a job after the degree and currently sitting for placements in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing a B.Tech in Computer Science stems from a strong interest in technology. The coursd curriculam is appealing due to its well-rounded structure, covering a wide range of computer science topics like Artificial Intelligence. The flexibility to choose elective courses aligns with personal interests. The faculty, recruited through a rigorous process, is well-qualified. They use various teaching methods, including lectures and practical activities. While the faculty-to-student ratio is good, seeking feedback from students can provide insights into teaching styles. Exams occur every 2.5 months, balancing mid and end-semester assessments. The weightage distribution between exams and internal assessments is favorable, allowing a holistic evaluation. The exams are described as moderately difficult, striking a balance for student success.

Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree
