BCA in GEU

BCA is close as possible to Btech. With a similar curriculum. And also with less money. BCA cost 3.5 lacs for 3 years while btech is 12 lacs for 4 years. Faculty of computer application here is meh! Not soo good not soo bad. There are 2-3 teachers who are loved! Whatever they'll teach you in the class you can't forget that. Exams are hectic here first practicals then theory. Mid-terms and just after midterms end terms. Assignments, seminars, mini/major projects. It really gets hectic during exam days.

In 5th semester we got companies for placements. Starting with basics 4-5 LPA. 4-5 companies. Then came de-shaw with 21LPA it's hiring bar is so high no one got selected. You can easily get 4lpa here in BCA. But btech has no limits 20, 30, 40, 50, 80 LPA. around 60% of students are placed. Some are waiting for bigger offers.

The scholarship is given to students based on their 12th result. And other scholarship programs. You can check that on geu website. Less to minimum hike in last two years. Admissions in my course have hiked through. My batch was 180, the junior batch was 350-370, and the super junior batch is now 800+.

You get summer fest. There are many quiz events going on every other day. If you're a social you can easily get friends to create your group and have fun. Participate in different programs, sports etc. The campus is not huge but it's pretty with its lush greenery. Classes are totally digital. Lecture theatres are HUGE! And quiet with any to every amenity. There are several groups SPE, DBC, and dance clubs. Variety is there. You just have to be active.

The hostel was amazing! I was in the main hostel inside campus 3 seater rooms. Own Aligarh, study table everything was there. Cleanliness was given priority. Bathrooms were common but clean at any point in time. The mess was good at starting but as students joins the taste got down but still a solid 7/10. The registration process is easy. Just contact any official on campus, get the payment and it's done.

Eligibility for my course was anyone with any stream 60% aggregate. Filled out the application form online by contacting the university. Didn't have to go to the college formalities it was fully done online. Now I think the university is starting the entrance exam for the BCA course.
