Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This course offers a wide range of fields and can provide one with the skills to work in a variety of industries. The faculty-student ratio of BML is quite good it has a ratio of 1:10, i.e. 1 faculty per 10 students. The faculty is quite knowledgeable and well-versed in their respective fields and have a very informative and encouraging overall tracking method. The term exams are conducted at regular intervals and in accordance with the guidelines of the UGC, it is of moderate difficulty and can be passed easily if a student pays attention in class and listens to their lecturer with the utmost attention.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are many companies that offer internships on campus like Deloitte, Artemis technologies, trilogy innovations, etc with stipends ranging from 25000 per month to around 1.5 lakhs a month. You have to compulsorily partake in 2 internships one is the summer after the 2nd year and one is the main internship in the 8th semester. The summer internship opportunity is quite good but the payscale is quite low, and the main internship in the 8th year offers a better payscale and a larger number of opportunities.

Placement Experience

4

The students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. They can partake in internships before that and from the 2nd semester itself thus increasing their experience, for the campus placements. Many companies visit the campus like ServiceNow, Tata Consultancy Services, Deloitte etc, the highest package offered this year was 33 lakhs per annum and the average package was around 7.5 lakhs per annum, and 97 per cent of the students got placed. The plans of students after their degrees are mostly to focus on their job or apply for a master's degree. My personal choice here would be to work for a few years, and gain experience before applying for an MBA degree in a good college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite high compared to other colleges but financial assistance is offered by the college in ways like scholarships and helping students procure bank loans. One can get educational scholarships for securing more than 90 per cent in the boards or 90 percentile in the JEE mains. One can let it continue by securing good grades and being in the top 40 per cent of the students, in the college. Jobs on campus are not available but you can get internships in different companies with the help of the college as well as get into a good company thus gaining good work experience.

Campus Life

4

The annual tech fest and cultural fests are held in the month of November. It is a fest to which different colleges from all over India are invited and the fest is quite bustling with students. The campus infrastructure is very good and the libraries consist of quite many journals as well as books which can be provided to the students as well as the staff. There are many clubs which will keep working for the betterment of students' life throughout the year, and many types of sports such as football, basketball, tennis, badminton and others are also available on campus.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are two types of hostels that are provided on the campus premises that are towers and apartments where towers are hostels where there are shared rooms as well as the typical hostel facilities as most of the school students are aware of. The apartments on the other hand provide private rooms and a common room for 7 people in each apartment which can be chosen. The menu is quite diverse and also presents 2 different types for the north and for the south, so as to satisfy the needs of the hostelers. The hostels can be opted for by any student of the college, though a bit expensive compared to the other colleges the facilities somewhat are able to satisfy the cost.

Admission

This course offered by BML Munjal University can be applied to anyone who has procured a minimum of 60 Percent aggregate in PCM and a minimum of 45 in each subject. There is a college entrance test which consists of 2 rounds which 1st will be a written round, if qualified you will be eligible for the next round which is an interview round which will constitute your college admission and also the percentage of scholarship you would receive from the college. You will also be eligible for a scholarship if you have secured more than 85 per cent marks in your boards or 80 per cent in your jee mains.

Placements rate is obviously not 100% but we do get companies and out of 150 students only 110 actually sit in the placement cycle and out of these about 70 students do get placed in good companies. The companies that visit consist of mondelez, Adani wilmar, zomato hyper pure, haldiram, loykaa, jubilent, baker's dozen, Lt foods, etc. The highest package goes up to 15 lakhs and average package is around 6-7 lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are done in the final year. In the 7th semester, students have to go for a semester-long industrial training. Some students are offered pre-placement offers, and some sit for the placement process. The highest packages have gone upto 8 LPA-10 LPA, in quality/supply chain/management related roles. More than 10-15 companies visit, and almost all of the students get placed. I personally would like to go for higher studies.
