I wanted to do my master's in finance as I developed an interest in it during my job so I choose the course as it is a specialization course in Finance. Faculties here are of two kinds. There are core faculties and external ones. Their teaching methods are the best way to get hands-on experience and get conceptual clarity.

Fees and Financial Aid

Two-year course fees are 6 lacs and the average package students get during campus interviews is 18 lacs so If we talk about return on investment JBIMS is one of the best in India. There is some scholarships programme at college.

Campus Life

There are some annual fests but after the pandemic, no event has taken place. JBIMS has huge stocks of books and magazines in its library. Some classrooms have air conditioning. Backbay times is one of the clubs which is run by students.

Hostel Facilities

JBIMS does not have its own hostel facility. As JBIMS comes under the University of Mumbai, some students get admission to the University of Mumbai i.e. J.S.Hall Boys Hostel. The registration process for the hostel is simple and only needs your ID card(PAn or Aadhar) and college admission fees receipt copy.

Hostel Fee: INR 5000 per year

Admission

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. MAH-CET(or CAT/CMAT) to be cleared with above 98 percentile to get called for an interview. GD and PI by JBIMS Merit list based on CET score, GD and PI Final admission after submission of documents.

Interview Experience

GD topics included current affairs, geopolitics, and finance-related topics such as BFSI, and Fintech industry current hot topics. I prepared by reading last 1 year's newspaper and some business magazines.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course culicurumes of collage of mangemnet of compter science , yavatmal is revalvent and provied good foundation in computer science concept. the curriculum is helpfiul for understanding theoretical concept and basic pratical skills. it prepares student for entry-lavel jobs and further studies like msc or mca,however ,it is more focused on traditionla topices and lacks exposure to morden technolokkgies such as cloud computing , data science, and advance fremworks which are importent in todays industry. the teachinf methods are mostly classroom- based with practical session in labs. overall, the curriculum is decent but needs update to match current industry demands.

From which semester students become maximum students are placement.company name I don't know I no experience , highest package is 15LPA and average is 5 to 6LPA , then percentage of placements students is 50% to 60%percentage students are playes.

The best place to get admission

Placement Experience:

Students who completed their masters are eligible for placements. Companies include Pharma, Biotech, R&d, agri companies, food industries, we can apply there. Well from 3rd semester students can apply and visit different companies previously, haidrabad, banglore are visited by our seniors. Students get salary of 30000-40000 ,there are students selected for multiple high rated companies. 30-40% Students get placed. I want to pursue Phd from India as I am more focus in research.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester. I am going to start the process now from june. The companies such as springCT, Josh, Omniscient, Bluepineapple,etc. come for campus placements. Some companies make offers in lot or some lpick only 2/3. Almost all students get internships. In 4th semester we have to do internship compulsory. Average package is 7lpa if its a job offer if its an internship the it is lesser.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course this very high on demand and i know about these course very well and i have interest in these course. Teacher prepare me for the real world for the special application of practical and internship provided in college for getting experience of that course. There should be have extra classes before the exam. Exam timings are very challenging you have to be present in exam on time. And aslo you should be able to manage the time as per the questions. The timing of approx each paper is 2.30 hours to complete the paper

A campus life you must live once in your life - Fergusson College

Placement Experience:

Placements in Fergusson are pretty good. Students are eligible for sitting in the placement drives from the 3rd semester, we also get Pre-placment activities and tests before the drive starts. We get companies like Axtria, Vois , bluepineapple etc on campus. The highest package is 10 - 12 lakhs and 4-6 lakhs on an average. In my batch out of the 30 people we 20 are placed so far on campus.

Placement Experience:

After the last semester's exams, students are eligible to face campus placements and go to jobs. Vsi sugar factory, Carlsberg, United Breweries, Beverage companies and many sugar factories come for interviews or jobs. They offer various roles for a career. The highest package offered by companies is about ten lakhs. The average package is near 5 lakhs. Near 90% percentage students got placement in college. I'm going for further studies in Banglore with a part-time job in a brewery.

PG not given any campus you will get a job on your ability. We have to prepare for set net after MSc but there are some companies visited college like Wipro. They provide job but the salary is around 25000 per month.

Msc Finance at JBIMS considers MAH-MBA-CET, CAT scores for shortlisting. Otherthan above mentioned exams if one has cleared UPSC CSE Mains exam can also apply for MSc Finance. For shortlisting open candidates 97 percentile is a minimum requirement. After one gets shortlisted there is a WAT round where one has to write an essay of 300 words in 10 minutes. Next round is of GD (Group discussion) where around 12 candidates are formed in a group and one topic is given to have discussion which lasts usually for around 30 minutes, the final round is of PI (personal interview) here industry experts are at interview panel, they go through your resume and asks relative questions about finance and economics....Read More

My Days In JBIMS

To apply for MHRD course in JBIMS, basic eligibility criteria is that you should have comleted your graduation or must be in the final year of your graduation ( at the time of admission you should have degree with you). Updates about the aadmission process are publishe on the college website and applications are invited ( Tentatively April-May) Application fees is Rs.1500. Reservation for every category is available as per the government rules. Admission process for MHRD course in JBIMS takes place in 3 stages 1. JBIMS's Entrance Test / CET/ CAT 2. GD 3. Personal Interview Difficulty level of JBIMS entrance test is lesser than the CET or CAT. It consist of Quant, LR, GK, Decision Making section. You can apply through any of the exam and on the basis of your score, candidates are shortlisted for GDPI round. From shortlisted candidates final selection is done after WAT and GDPI round.
