College management was very good they provided help wherever we got stuck with problems. Staff was easily accessible when we needed them for academic help or personal help.
Entrance Preview
I took AIEEE and got rank around 87000. I saw the brochure of the college being circulated outside AIEEE exam center. Further,inquiring about the college I came to know that I knew the director of the college through family connections and his good review and trust worthy feedback made me join the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
First year we had common subjects for each stream. From Second year onwards in the course fundamental subjects for electronics were taught,which comprised of microprocessor labs,digital systems,some basic computer subjects such as c++, then in 3rd year we had complex subjects such as network analysis and VLSI(Very large scale integration designing).
Internships Opportunities
I intern shipped with Patni Computer Systems for about 4 months during 8th Semester. Experience was good in the sense of corporate work exposure and in learning how teams work in projects. Stipend offered was 5000 rs per month.
Placement Experience
Placements were good at that time lot of good IT companies such as infosys,tcs,accenture,wellsfargo came offering packages between the range of 3 to 5 lacs. Around 90% of the batch got placed. Overall college has good placements due to Manipal brand.
College Events
We had one festival Kaalrav which was held annually. It comprised of everything such as technical competitions,rock band competitions,coding competitions,dance competitions basically covered everything. Otherwise from every department in the college a night was celebrated showcasing the departments achievements.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is a little bit on the higher side but i feel it is compensated by the facilities infrastructure provided by college. Around 1.2 lacs for 2 semesters would be the fee cost. I am not sure about the fee as of now but at that time comparitevly it was on the higher side.
Fees and Financial Aid
Not completely aware of scholarships programmes but scholarships are given for sure some of the students in my batch had got scholarships.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good college is located in a very scenic location surrounded with hills basic sports facilities are present but not of very good standards. Good student staff interaction.
Hostel Facilities
Mess food was not good at all. Hostel facilities were ordinary with 2 room sharing. PG's were available outside the college with rent around 3000 rs month.
Alumni/Alumna
Not been in touch with alumni cannot comment accurately on it.But bieng affiliated with the manipal group i am very confident that alumini would be good. Also do have certain annual alumini meets.
Exam Structure
Exams used to take place internally every 2 months and external university level exams used to take place once in 6 month for the semester completion comprising 50 % each. Not hectic.
Faculty
The faculty of the college was pretty decent some of the teachers were very good like our H.O.D was the first person in INDIA to bring Television and some of them were average,where as some of them were like the ones who had limited or bookish knowledge o
