Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is fairly good. Faculties are also very helpful. All the faculties are postgraduates and many of them are Ph.D. holders. The teaching methods are good here. About the exams, we have 2 mid semesters and 1 end semester. Passing the exam is quite easy. You can pass the exam easily even if you study a few weeks beforehand.
Internships Opportunities
In 3rd year, when companies visit to hire final year students, we have the opportunity of internship. Although there is not much of it. Students have to focus on their projects and skills and should try off-campus internships. There are a very large amount of students who crack off-campus internships in 2nd year in Bangalore and Delhi.
Placement Experience
The placements are very good here. A lot of companies like Paytm and ola. The placement ratio is above 80 percent in CS IT here. The highest package last year was 44 lpa. The average package is more than 10 lpa ranging from 7lpa to 28 LPA. Depending on your skills you are sure to get placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for 1 year are 135000. Adding up the mess and hostel fees, your expense for 1 year is roughly 2lc. You can apply for the UP scholarship given the necessary conditions are met. And there is no on-campus stipend for Btech students. Overall fees are quite good compared to other colleges' quality.
Campus Life
We have multiple fests over the year. Every batch gets its fresher's party. Later the year there are 3fests Adhyaay, Agaaz and technika. These are sports cultural and technical fest of our college. They are conducted every year. The sports culture is okay here. We have an HPL cricket tournament. We have different colleges playing on our campus in Agaaz. There are numerous social communities and groups for different activities like dance, music, art, poetry etc.
Admission
About HBTU Kanpur admission. HBTU takes admission through JEE mains. JEE mains is an entrance examination for government engineering colleges. For the CS branch, your rank should be lesser than 30000 if you are in a general category. The counseling is done on HBTU official website and not through JOSSA. For admission in this college is a general category, your rank should be lesser than 1lc.
