Course Curriculum Overview

My primary motivation for choosing this course was its integration with the IITB ecosystem and its legacy of alumni in diverse fields. The faculty is highly experienced and the course content is relevant to today's day and age. They follow a case-based teaching pedagogy. There are 8 terms spanning over 2 years, two each semester. Exams are conducted at the end of every semester along with other continuous evaluation techniques.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 825000 per year

Placement Experience

Students have a Summer Placement and a Final Placement. 100% of students get placed. Summer Placements are conducted for First Year students and Final Placements are conducted for Second Year Students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are several scholarships available based on need and merit. The details for the same are available on som.iitb.ac.in. There are several academic scholarships available for the best-performing students every semester.

Campus Life

The annual fest for IIT Bombay which is conducted at the end of December called 'Mood Indigo' and the Techfest is also conducted in December. The classrooms are well equipped with projectors and speakers and seating is facilitated for discussions.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are at par with all basic amenities provided by the hostel. The rooms are also Wi-Fi equipped. The meals provided in the mess have a decent variety and take into consideration students' recommendations.

Hostel Fee: INR 54000 per year

Interview Experience

The admission process included an interview that focused on my undergraduate engineering stream, questions about applications of theories, general knowledge, work experience, and a discussion about my hobbies and interests.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is decent good because as per the fees it will gives us 6lpa as a average package it is good Roi as per my opinion. There are maximum company related to banks and startups and mainly for Marketing roles. My plans for after degree to get placed with good package.

Experience at ASM IBMR

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

KJ Somaiya - A lively campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

Good post graduate program with strong cirriculum

Remarks:

Overall, I would say that I think this is a very unique course being offered by SP Jain and they are very strict with the submission timelines and quality of work. This is definitely is not a run off the mill part time MBA. The institute makes sure you sweat to earn your degree, respectfully!

Review for SJMSOM, IIT BOMBAY

I appeared for CAT in 2020, post which I received interview calls from MDI, IIM's, VGSOM, SJMSOM, DMS etc. The admission criteria of the open category for SJMSOM, IIT BOMBAY was more than 60% in 10th and 12th which had a weightage of 5%. There was 5% weightage to the graduation scores and 10% to gender diversity too. Post filling the form I got an interview call and was also allotted a buddy to help clear any doubts regarding the interview process. The interview was held on a platform & each candidate was allowed to log in and interact with the platform a day prior to the interview. On the day of the interview, there were two main procedures document verification and the actual PI. We were assigned to a buddy in batches of 20 who would personally take us to our respective procedure. The interview panel had faculty from college, alumni and industry experts who asked questions based on the form filled. The conduct was very smooth and hassle free....Read More
