Course Curriculum Overview
I have an interest in International Business that's why I opt for MBA in IB from IIFT. Faculty members are well qualified. Institute also arranges guest lectures. Also, there is a feedback mechanism for faculties that has to be given by students.
Internships Opportunities
At IIFT there are a lot of opportunities available. There are companies visiting for BFSI, consulting, sales and marketing, and general management. The average stipend is 2 lacs and companies like ITC, Axis Bank, and Citi Bank visit the campus.
Placement Experience
The placement of IIFT is good and all the details are available on the placement brochure available on the IIFT website. It consists of all the details of companies visited and package offered to the students of IIFT. The average package is 25 lacs and companies like ITC, Axix bank, Citi Bank, Godrej visit the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The program fee is 19 lacs for 2 years and the hostel and mess are around 3 lacs for 2 years. I have taken an education loan to fund my studies which is very common in MBA. Institute runs a need-based scholarship but you may get it only after completion of the course and only your interest for 2 years on an education loan is waived.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. The campus is situated in south Delhi, near Sanjay Van. There are a lot of events organized by different clubs, cells, and committees at regular intervals where you will get the opportunity to organize as well as participate.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are good. The food menu is also good it is made by students only. The room provided to us has RO, Table, chair, wardrobe all the facilities. The institute accommodates all the students of MBA (IB) in the hostel.
Admission
The admission process was through the IIFT Entrance examination on the NTA website. Form fees were Rs 2500. After this candidate has to go through Extempore and PI. The selection depends on the overall score the candidate has obtained.
Interview Experience
I have faced an extempore, the topic was related to ill uses of social media. The interview will normally run for around 25-30 minutes. I have prepared resources available online for these rounds.
