I have chosen Finance and Marketing as my majors. Overall the faculties of these subjects are very experienced in the college. Being an international trade college requisite subjects in the field like International marketing and international finance are taught. Required relevant study materials and case studies are discussed at regular intervals. Exams are conducted such that they are application based rather than you mug up and put down answers. Also, we are provided with books from where we can study more about the subjects. The overall academic curriculum is very vast and excellent.

I was offered an internship at Jubilant industries which gave me a package of 1l rupees per month. Projects under the domain of operation were offered and it was a very good experience. Companies that visit include Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Asian paints, JPMC, and many more.

Placements are very good with the highest package being offered of 75 laks and an average of around 23 lakhs per annum. Every student on campus gets placed so no need to look for outside opportunities. Many big giants like HUL, GS, and Microsoft come to the campus.

Including hostel fees, we pay approximately 21 lakh rupees which I personally believe is a hefty amount provided the infrastructure facilities that we are provided, which includes minimum sports facilities. There are multiple government scholarship schemes that you can apply for on the National scholarship portal. Everyone on the campus gets placed. All are provided with multiple opportunities during a summer internship as well as final placements with companies coming from all domains including marketing, finance, trade, analytics, and strategy.

There are multiple clubs, cells, and committees like the Finance, Consulting, IT, Marketing club and infra, social awareness, pharma cell, and many more. On the cultural side, we have a Cultural committee under the name Melange, and various special interest groups in the fields of dance, singing, and drama. We also have a sports committee that organizes beautiful and agile events throughout. At the library, we have thousands of books and even a Bloomberg terminal along with an e-library facility. It is a student-run college so everything is managed by students which is a very fulfilling experience.

The admission process was a very hectic and long one which included an exam in the beginning which earned us an interview opportunity if we cleared the basic cutoffs then there was a personal interview round where we were asked basic questions of various domains which included finance, operations, and marketing. Also, a few questions on current news and work experience were asked. Following this, I was provided an extempore topic to speak on within 2 minutes. Overall it was a very satisfying experience and a process worthwhile for a college with a stature as IIFT.
